Chapter 4: Falling

Later that afternoon... I was so bored just sitting in my room, but mother was very specific and precise about the rules. Stating that I can't leave my room at all because she doesn't want to have to hire cleaning staff to clean up the puke she throws up from seeing my face. I was so bored though, that I decided to sneak out the window and see the neighbors. The witch was in her office working so I knew that she wouldn't hear me but still I tip toed towards the window sill out of precaution and well fear. I slowly brought up the window stepping on leg out than the other. Luckily my window had a tree next to it that I could quietly climb down.  When I was about half way down I heard his voice, "What you doing up there?" the boy from next door asked teasingly. Startled I looked down and well... climbing trees were never my thing.. "W-woah!" I yelled as I fell.  I fell on my back hitting the ground.  "Oh s**t!" he said "You okay?"  I nodded not wanting to speak out of pure embarrassment. Immediately sitting up rubbing my head from the soreness. After I nodded he smirked at me "Climbing trees isn't your thing huh?" he said, clearly stifling a chuckle. If my face wasn't red before it certainly was now he was not supposed to know that. "Oh my god I am so embarrassed" I said, facepalming myself. He chuckled "Here" he held his hand out for me to grab. I took it not wanting to embarrass myself further. I noticed I was so close to him that I could see he had two colored eye ,one green, one blue. He pulled me up from the ground. I dusted myself and hands off.  "What were you doing up there?" he asked genuinely this time. Trying to avoid the reason I was sneaking out I said "Why were you on your way over here?" I raised my brow showing that I was teasing him but also curious. He chuckled rubbing his neck nervously "This is going to sound like a rom-com but I was sent over here by my mom to 'Welcome the new neighborhood girl'".  "Well that certainly was quite the welcome. It was your fault that I fell out of the tree!" I said teasingly.  "Oh so it's my fault that you clearly have never climbed a tree in your life?" it was his turn to raise an eyebrow. It was true this was my first time climbing a tree but he didn't need to know that.  "I have too climbed a tree!" I defended.  He laughed heartily "Anyone who has climbed a tree in their life knows that that is a lie" he smirked knowingly.  "Whatever!" I said. I heard a rustling in the house and my demeanor immediately changed. He looked at me confusingly seeing the fear that was evident.  "So this was fun but I gotta go back." I began climbing the tree.  "Why? You just got out here" he said.  I didn't answer him I was too worried about getting back in my room before she did. Once I was back in my room I leaned out the window. "I'm sorry" I said.  "I don't even no anything about you yet! Can I at least know your name?!" he yelled up to me,  I looked behind me hearing footsteps in the hall.  "It's Georgia! Look I'm sorry but I really have to go now!" I began to close the window.  "Mine's Henry!" I heard him yell as I closed the window.  She-devil entered my room. She gave me a menacing look. From her point of view I was staring out the window at the boy next door as he walked into his house.  "What are you staring at him for? Nobody wants to see your ugly ass face. You are not allowed to go anywhere near him. He is a good kid unlike you. Besides he'd never like you. Nobody likes ugly ass mutants. The only way he'd ever get with you is if you showed everything. Which I'm sure you would because you're a dirty little w***e. You are so beneath me."  I was glad she couldn't see my face because as hard as I tried to keep them in tears quietly streamed down my face. Unfortunately she was probably right. Henry clearly would never go for me. Not only am I ugly but I am also a nerd and I know that I am NOT his type.  "If I ever catch you around him there will be serious consequences for you. You think the way I treat you now is bad? You have no idea what I could do to you. I have no problem truly treating you like the piece of dirt you are." she said with venom clear in her voice. She then walked over and pushed my head into the window so my head would hit it hard.  I didn't dare look back as I heard her footsteps go back to my door opening it again to leave this time. "You really mean nothing to anyone you might as well be dead." she then shut my door walking back to her office after she said that. She clearly satisfied her boredom she felt by torturing me even more.  I slowly moved to the bed and plopped down on the bed face first into my pillow sobbing quietly not wanting her to know that she got the reaction she wanted. I hate to admit it but her words were actually getting to me.  Not wanting to cry all day I decided to get a shower get my head and thoughts clear. I did not want to be affected by her words anymore.  After I got out of the shower, I wrapped myself in a towel feeling a little better about myself. I sat on the bad and decided to write a song about how I felt about everything going on and a little of a fantasy that I had about how things would go.  Just when I lost everything that meant something to me I was told that I meant nothing to anybody    I had to go to what might as well have been hell  But then you swept in and saved me from my jail cell You saved the day  and for the exit out you showed me the way  I thought that I was dead with no way out  but then you and your shaggy brown hair showed me a love that I'm willing to shout about  She can never know about this so I gotta be careful  If you only knew what I'm going through I'm sure you'd think I am such a hand full she made me feel as though I am nothing as a whole But then you proved her wrong and with your love healed my broken soul Yeah,You saved the day  and for the exit out you showed me the way  I thought that I was dead with no way out  but then you and your shaggy brown hair showed me a love that I'm willing to shout about  I don't know how to thank you but you and your two colored eyes saved me from my own demise I don't know how to thank you but you and your two colored eyes saved me from my own demise   Yeah,You saved the day  and for the exit out you showed me the way  I thought that I was dead with no way out  but then you and your shaggy brown hair showed me a love that I'm willing to shout about , shout about, shout about  I finished writing and singing the song. I was so focused on it I was oblivious to my surroundings.  "So who was that about?" the voice asked teasingly. I was so startled by it I fell out of my bed.  I immediately sat up rubbing my head and looked over at him. There he was sitting in my window sill.  Damnit! How much did he hear??
