Hidden Royalty

I stopped believing in werewolves, witches and fairytales when my parents died. I knew nobody was going to save me. There are no knights in shining armor or happily ever afters. I don't expect romance. I don't even want it. It's just an illusion used to trap it's victims.  I learned from an early age not to rely on others and never show weakness.  It is alright to show kindness as long as you don't expect any in return.  If you expect other people to let you down, you won't be surprised when it happens.  Work hard and keep a distance from other people.
