Chapter 10 Growing Pains

Jenna's POV

I was so excited. I was going to have the family I always dreamed of and Vadik treated me so special. I didn't understand my feelings for him completely. I just knew I felt complete when he was with me. Unfortunately he was spending a lot of time in his office. I asked him several times what he was doing, but he insisted I needed to rest. He wouldn't even let me play with Nikki. I missed them both horribly. I was so board. That's when the twins stepped in and said it was time to shop for the baby and decorate the nursery. I could see Vadik turning red, about to explode. Then Isobel quickly explained that we would be shopping online from the comfort of our couch and they had already recruited somebody to do the work in the nursery. All I had to do was point. This appeased my mate to an extent, but he still insisted I not over do it. It wasn't until his Mom agreed to keep an eye on me that he conceded. The four of us shopped, planned and giggled until the housekeeper brought us lunch. I was enjoying myself so much I didn't realize how hungry I was. I looked around at my new family and tears started to well up in my eyes. "Oh no dear, what's wrong? Should I get Vadik?", Katherine said as she was already headed to the door. I grabbed her arm to say something, but the concern on her face just made me cry harder. The twins joined in with concerned looks. They were so serious looking I couldn't help a giggle escaping. I finally got a hold of myself and explained how happy I was to finally have a family. They all surrounded me in hugs. That's how Vadik found us. He immediately assumed something was wrong and started panicking. We all started laughing. The lost and confused look on his face only made us laugh harder.
