Maya met me in the storage room where I'd been helping to organize medical supplies and the way she called my name made me drop the bandages I was holding and turn around slowly. Her facial expression had this anger on it.
"Cassandra's back," she said flatly, "Kade let her in."
For a moment I didn't move and didn't speak, I just stood there processing her words that didn't make any sense. Then something cold settled in my chest and I was walking before Maya could say anything else.
