The weapons shipment had arrived before morning and I'd been putting off inspecting it until Marcus cornered me after breakfast with that look that said he wasn't taking no for an answer. Now we stood in the storage building surrounded by crates, checking inventory against the manifest while light rays entered through the gaps in the wooden walls.
