Raghav had always believed that ghosts existed only in old stories told by grandparents during power cuts. His best friend Monty, however, believed ghosts were real but completely misunderstood."If I ever meet a ghost," Monty proudly declared, "I'll ask for a selfie."Raghav laughed. "And then you'll become the ghost in the selfie."The two friends loved exploring abandoned places. Their latest adventure began when they heard about **Black Banyan Fort**, an ancient ruined fortress hidden deep inside the forest. Villagers whispered that anyone who entered the fort after sunset never returned.Naturally, Monty's first reaction was, "Let's go."The entire village feared Black Banyan Fort. Strange lights floated above its broken towers every night. Weird laughter echoed through the forest. Even animals refused to go near it.The old tea seller warned them."Children, don't go there. Fifty years ago, an entire wedding party disappeared inside."Monty grinned."Maybe they're still waiting for dinner."Everyone in the tea stall stared at him.Raghav sighed."You really don't know when to stop joking."They packed flashlights, ropes, snacks, water bottles and a camera before starting their adventure. The deeper they walked into the forest, the colder the air became.Suddenly...CRACK!A branch snapped behind them.Monty whispered dramatically,"If that's a tiger, I hope it's vegetarian."A goat walked out of the bushes.Raghav burst into laughter. As evening approached, the giant gates of Black Banyan Fort appeared through the mist.Massive banyan roots covered its cracked walls.Rusty chains swung by themselves. The air smelled old... like forgotten history.Monty pushed the gate.It opened with a loud...CREEEEEEAK..."Well," Monty said."The ghost definitely needs some oil."Inside the courtyard stood hundreds of broken statues.Every single statue had no eyes.Raghav shivered."I don't like this."Before Monty could answer...One statue slowly turned its head. Both boys screamed. Then they noticed...It wasn't a statue. It was a monkey covered in dust. The monkey screamed louder than both of them and ran away. They entered a huge hall filled with ancient paintings.Every portrait seemed to be smiling.Monty smiled back."Very polite ghosts."Suddenly...HAHAHAHAHAHA...A horrible laugh echoed through the hall.Raghav froze."Did... did you hear that?"The laughter came again.Monty slowly pointed upward.A colony of bats hung from the ceiling. One bat let out a strange sound that echoed around the room. Both friends relaxed."See?"Monty said proudly."Not every creepy sound belongs to ghosts."The moment he finished speaking...A cold hand landed on his shoulder.Monty screamed so loudly that several bats flew away.It was Raghav."You i***t!"Behind a broken bookshelf they discovered a hidden staircase leading underground. The tunnel walls were covered with strange symbols. The deeper they walked...The quieter everything became.Even their footsteps made no sound.Suddenly their flashlights stopped working.Complete darkness.Monty whispered,"Maybe they're rechargeable ghosts."Before Raghav could answer...Blue lights appeared all around them.Hundreds of floating blue lights. They looked like ghostly spirits.Monty nearly fainted. Then one landed on Raghav's backpack.Fireflies.Thousands of glowing fireflies filled the tunnel. They laughed in relief. At the end of the tunnel stood a giant throne room.On the throne sat a skeleton wearing a rusty crown.A sword rested beside it.The moment they stepped closer...The skeleton stood up.Its jaw slowly opened.Monty whispered,"I'm officially scared."The skeleton walked toward them.Step...Step...Step...Raghav grabbed a broken spear.Just before the skeleton reached them...It collapsed into a pile of bones.Silence.Monty poked the bones."A very committed actor."Then they noticed something.Hidden inside the bones was an old mechanism connected by ropes.Someone had built it to scare A cold wind filled the room. This time...It wasn't another trick.A transparent old man slowly appeared. His glowing eyes looked sad instead of angry. Both boys froze. The ghost spoke softly."At last... someone brave enough to reach me."Raghav somehow managed to ask,"Who are you?""I am King Virendra."He explained that centuries ago, greedy soldiers betrayed him.His loyal people hid the kingdom's treasure beneath the fort. The soldiers murdered everyone searching for it.Since then, his spirit remained trapped, protecting the treasure from evil people."But you two..."To Be Continued

The Haunted Fort Of Black Banyan
Raghav had always believed that ghosts existed only in old stories told by grandparents during power cuts. His best friend Monty, however, believed ghosts were real but completely misunderstood. "If I ever meet a ghost," Monty proudly declared, "I'll ask for a selfie." Raghav laughed. "And then you'll become the ghost in the selfie." The two friends loved exploring abandoned places. Their latest adventure began when they heard about **Black Banyan Fort**, an ancient ruined fortress hidden deep inside the forest. Villagers whispered that anyone who entered the fort after sunset never returned. Naturally, Monty's first reaction was, "Let's go." --- ### Chapter 1 – The Challenge The entire village feared Black Banyan Fort. Strange lights floated above its broken towers every night. Weird laughter echoed through the forest. Even animals refused to go near it. The old tea seller warned them. "Children, don't go there. Fifty years ago, an entire wedding party disappeared inside." Monty grinned. "Maybe they're still waiting for dinner." Everyone in the tea stall stared at him. Raghav sighed. "You really don't know when to stop joking." They packed flashlights, ropes, snacks, water bottles and a camera before starting their adventure. The deeper they walked into the forest, the colder the air became. Suddenly... CRACK! A branch snapped behind them. Monty whispered dramatically, "If that's a tiger, I hope it's vegetarian." A goat walked out of the bushes. Raghav burst into laughter. --- ### Chapter 2 – The Fort As evening approached, the giant gates of Black Banyan Fort appeared through the mist. Massive banyan roots covered its cracked walls. Rusty chains swung by themselves. The air smelled old... like forgotten history. Monty pushed the gate. It opened with a loud... CREEEEEEAK... "Well," Monty said. "The ghost definitely needs some oil." Inside the courtyard stood hundreds of broken statues. Every single statue had no eyes. Raghav shivered. "I don't like this." Before Monty could answer... One statue slowly turned its head. Both boys screamed. Then they noticed... It wasn't a statue. It was a monkey covered in dust. The monkey screamed louder than both of them and ran away. --- ### Chapter 3 – The Laughing Hall They entered a huge hall filled with ancient paintings. Every portrait seemed to be smiling. Monty smiled back. "Very polite ghosts." Suddenly... HAHAHAHAHAHA... A horrible laugh echoed through the hall. Raghav froze. "Did... did you hear that?" The laughter came again. Monty slowly pointed upward. A colony of bats hung from the ceiling. One bat let out a strange sound that echoed around the room. Both friends relaxed. "See?" Monty said proudly. "Not every creepy sound belongs to ghosts." The moment he finished speaking... A cold hand landed on his shoulder. Monty screamed so loudly that several bats flew away. It was Raghav. "You i***t!" --- ### Chapter 4 – The Secret Tunnel Behind a broken bookshelf they discovered a hidden staircase leading underground. The tunnel walls were covered with strange symbols. The deeper they walked... The quieter everything became. Even their footsteps made no sound. Suddenly their flashlights stopped working. Complete darkness. Monty whispered, "Maybe they're rechargeable ghosts." Before Raghav could answer... Blue lights appeared all around them. Hundreds of floating blue lights. They looked like ghostly spirits. Monty nearly fainted. Then one landed on Raghav's backpack. Fireflies. Thousands of glowing fireflies filled the tunnel. They laughed in relief. --- ### Chapter 5 – The Skeleton Guard At the end of the tunnel stood a giant throne room. On the throne sat a skeleton wearing a rusty crown. A sword rested beside it. The moment they stepped closer... The skeleton stood up. Its jaw slowly opened. Monty whispered, "I'm officially scared." The skeleton walked toward them. Step... Step... Step... Raghav grabbed a broken spear. Just before the skeleton reached them... It collapsed into a pile of bones. Silence. Monty poked the bones. "A very committed actor." Then they noticed something. Hidden inside the bones was an old mechanism connected by ropes. Someone had built it to scare intruders. --- ### Chapter 6 – The Real Ghost A cold wind filled the room. This time... It wasn't another trick. A transparent old man slowly appeared. His glowing eyes looked sad instead of angry. Both boys froze. The ghost spoke softly. "At last... someone brave enough to reach me." Raghav somehow managed to ask, "Who are you?" "I am King Virendra." He explained that centuries ago, greedy soldiers betrayed him. His loyal people hid the kingdom's treasure beneath the fort. The soldiers murdered everyone searching for it. Since then, his spirit remained trapped, protecting the treasure from evil people. "But you two..." The king smiled. "...came searching for adventure, not gold." --- ### Chapter 7 – The Demon Awakens Suddenly the floor shook violently. Dark smoke burst from beneath the throne. A terrifying monster emerged. It had glowing red eyes... Huge claws... Sharp teeth... And horns taller than Monty. The ghost king shouted, "Run!" The demon roared so loudly that the walls cracked. The boys ran through endless corridors while the monster chased them. Monty shouted, "I knew we should've watched movies instead!" The demon smashed pillars behind them. Dust filled the air. They reached a bridge over a deep pit. Half the bridge collapsed. Raghav jumped first. Monty followed. Halfway across... The bridge snapped. Raghav grabbed Monty's hand. For one terrifying second... Monty hung above darkness. With all his strength, Raghav pulled him up. --- ### Chapter 8 – The Ancient Sword The ghost king appeared beside them. "Only the Sword of Dawn can defeat the demon." He pointed toward a glowing chamber. Inside stood an ancient silver sword. The moment Raghav touched it... The blade burst into golden light. The demon charged. Raghav swung. The sword created a wave of brilliant light. The monster screamed. Again. Again. Again. Finally... The demon exploded into thousands of glowing particles. Silence returned to the fort. --- ### Chapter 9 – The Hidden Truth The ghost king smiled peacefully. "The curse is finally broken." The walls began glowing. Ancient murals revealed the real history of the kingdom. There was indeed treasure... But not gold. Instead... Thousands of priceless books. Ancient scientific discoveries. Maps. Medicine. Knowledge lost for centuries. "The greatest treasure," the king said, "is wisdom." Monty scratched his head. "So... no diamonds?" The king laughed. "No." Monty sighed dramatically. "I risked my life for homework." Even the ghost king laughed. --- ### Chapter 10 – The Final Goodbye As sunrise reached the fort, the king's spirit slowly faded. "Thank you, brave children." "You gave my kingdom peace." He disappeared into golden light. Outside... The forest no longer felt haunted. Birds began singing. Sunlight filled the ancient ruins. When Raghav and Monty returned to the village, nobody believed their story. Except the old tea seller. He simply smiled. "I knew the king was waiting." Years later, archaeologists discovered the hidden library beneath Black Banyan Fort. History books were rewritten. The mysterious disappearances were explained by hidden traps and fear... except for one thing. Nobody could explain why every photograph taken inside the throne room showed a smiling old king standing behind the two boys. Even today, villagers say that if brave people enter Black Banyan Fort with a pure heart, they sometimes hear gentle laughter echoing through the halls. Not the terrifying laugh of a monster... But the grateful laughter of a king whose kingdom was finally free. And if you ever decide to visit the fort with your funniest friend... Take a flashlight. Take courage. And maybe... Don't ask a ghost for a selfie. Because Monty still insists he almost got one.
