Stay away from Caleb?
Who did he think he was… telling me what to do like that. I should have told him to get bent and that I’ll see whoever I want, whenever I wish… but I didn’t. I numbly agreed because, honestly, I didn’t want to be around Caleb. Though Alruna still wanted to be near her mate, she seemed to almost forget about him when Kade was around.
It was a nice relief.
However, that didn’t mean I wanted Kade to tell me what to do.
I was still stewing about it as I made breakfast the next morning, and Kade came strolling into the kitchen.
“Good morning,” he said as he went over to the coffee pot to pour himself a cup of coffee. “Have you thought more about what I said last night?”
He turned to face me, his mug in hand, leaning against the counter as he brought
