Kade got to class just in time and saw there was a late-start student who was certainly going to make things more interesting. Caleb’s try-hard girlfriend gushed about how her family’s wealth afforded her the ability to join the class.
Taking his seat, he noticed Lana doing a bang-up job of staying focused and ignoring Olivia’s antics. He still couldn’t help making a joke, which was worth it because Lana broke concentration for just a moment.
Kade could see Caleb shooting her glances anytime Olivia had a break in her show. The dead stare from the teacher now and again helped quiet her. From what he could tell, Lana didn’t notice either Caleb’s apparent inability to get over Lana or the teacher's death stare at his girlfriend.
