Chapter 16

I didn't waste time waiting for them to catch their breath from laughter. I casually slid my hands which were gripping my wallet, and cellphone inside the pockets of my white hoodie. In an instant, I made the first move. The one who hits first occasionally hits last. My body moved swiftly as I charged towards that baldy. In the blink of an eye I was in front of him, then without hesitation I kicked him in the side; doing a roundhouse kick. He didn't react immediately because he didn't expect my attack, so he stepped sideways a few times. The laughter of the others was silent and they could not believe what they witnessed. They all looked at me as if I'm already a dead person as if I did a grave sin, there was also an obvious mocking look in there gazes. I didn't pay attention to them and kept my eyes on the bald man who was now staring at me. We'll know who really did a grave sin. "B*tch!" He aggressively yelled at me. Its black eyes were glaring and its teeth were gnashing. Looking like he couldn't wait to kill me. I snorted, and didn't wait for him to strike back as my body quickly moved again. In no time, I was in front of him again, and directly launched a side kick. However, this time the baldly came prepared and was able to dodge my attack. I didn't waste time and after he let go, I kicked him hard in the chest. As my foot hit his chest, I heard a sound of crack. Kalbo didn't expect that so he was knocked out by my kick. His body hit a dumpster not far away. I slowly retracted my foot, still looking relaxed. Hands still inside my hoodie's pocket. With the speed of events, others were not even able to help their boss. They just stood there dumbfounded as if they didn't know what happened. Their faces were confused as if they were wondering how I could kick the needed boss so far that compared to his big and brusque body, I was almost empty in my thin body. The baldy was clutching his chest groaning in pain. His face was unrecognizable because of the pain. It was as if the others only came to their senses when they heard their boss's moan and they looked at where I was standing almost at the same time. They all looked at me with anger, and hatred in their eyes. But before they could take revenge for what I did to their bald boss, I preceded them. My body was fast and quick as I thrashed them all. They couldn't catch me because I was moving so fast. Even though they attacked at the same time, none of them hit me. Before their punches and strikes could even hit me I already dodged it. When they noticed this, their attacks became more aggressive and they were obviously annoyed because none of them could hit them. This must be a huge blow to their pride. I felt bored. Let's finish this. In just five minutes, many bodies lay blindfolded on the ground, moaning in pain. I didn't look at them. I ignored all their painful cries as I casually made a walk towards the still groaning baldy. His chest is still full and his face cannot be painted. Looks like I just broke one or two of his ribs with that kick. My expression didn't change and I just looked at him coldly from above. I put my right foot on top of his hand on his chest then I applied force to it. He moaned loudly and the expression on his face became even more wrinkled. He grimaced at me as he clenched his teeth because of the pain. "B*tch! Let go!" He cussed through gritted teeth. I increased the force that made him inhale it. "Who sent you," he said coldly. He didn't answer so I increased the force of my foot even more. He cried in agony, but I ignored it. "I-I'll tell! I-I'll tell! P-please s-stop!" It's hard to please me. A lot of pain and fear can be seen on his face and it seems like any time he will lose consciousness when I continue to step on his wounded chest. I stopped applying force to my leg, but it still remained in its position. "Speak," I ordered with the same tone of voice. There was still no visible change in my expression. "H-h-we don't know! W-someone just contacted us saying we'll t-teach you a l-lesson... and... and he's going to pay us a l-big bribe if we s-ruin you. .." Page by page his voice while saying what he knows. I raised my eyebrows. I think I already know who was the one behind this. That ghost sure is impatient. It wasn't even that long when the incident earlier happened, but she already wanted to deal with me. Huh. Alright, if she really wanted to settle this score. I'll help her. My lips slowly curled up into an evil grin. When bald saw my expression, fear appeared on his face and he shook his head in confusion. "What I say is true! We really don't know who is ordering us to do this!" This is a nervous explanation. "Promise! We won't repeat what we're doing! We're going to change our lives! Just let us go..." she almost cried and I could feel her body shaking on my leg. "Tsk." I clicked my tongue and let him go. But before he could take a deep breath, I kicked him in the head, knocking him unconscious. Such a chicken. A waste of muscles. I made arrangements but I didn't take a step to leave. I just remained standing where I was. My expression returned to its previous coldness. "Why don't you come out?" I uttered coldly. But only silence answered me. However, in the next second someone walked out from an inconspicuous corner of this dark alley. If my senses weren't sensitive to my surroundings, I probably couldn't even tell that there's a third party, and would definitely miss him. The moment I saw that extremely familiar face again; I didn't have any reaction, or my heart would palpitate uncontrollably like before. I only felt calmness. After not seeing him for a month, and realizing my feelings. That what I truly felt for him before wasn't really love, but obsession. I was only obsessed with him, because of his physical traits, his other superficial attributes, and good points, and that I didn't really love him for who he truly is. Since, I don't really know him that well. I only know what he wants others to know about him, but I don't know what was behind those layers. After all, we can only be attributed as acquaintances who only know some basic information about the other, but cannot really be considered as close, or even friends. I'm the only one feeling close. When I really think about my past achievements, I really want to beat myself up. Soooo good. How about it, your sister is desperate. Hooray! Song. It's really good that I got over my stupidity and I was able to move on with him little by little. If you know your worth. It wasn't really hard to move on. Knowing this, I can't help but to feel happy for myself and I unconsciously made a smile. When I noticed his dark eyes staring at me, specifically the smile on my face. He immediately returned the cold expression and looked at her without emotion. I met his pair of pitch-black deep orbs. Back then, I always avoided looking into his deep eyes because every time our eyes met, I felt weak, as if he was absorbing all my strength. But now, I felt... no difference from looking at a stranger. "Why are you following me?" I broke the silence that prevailed between the two of us. Although my voice is calm, the question can be heard here. Since the day we met again at the mall, I was really surprised by his actions. In his eyes, as if he wanted to convey something, but I couldn't figure out what. Back then, he wouldn't even take a glance at me every time I pop up in front of him in the course of gaining his attention. He would ignore me as if I were air; as if I wasn't there with him at all. No matter what I did to make him notice me. I never succeeded until that day which is not worth mentioning. But now... He likes this? Is he going to me? Did his brain get damaged or something? I will not assume that he can follow me because he likes me. Bah! Impossible! I would never forget what he said to me that day. And when he said what he said, he would definitely do it. He would never go back on his words. That's just him. I raised an eyebrow at him when he didn't answer. He just kept looking at me, he thought I couldn't understand. He stood casually with his two hands tucked into both pockets of his gray jagger. He's also wearing a hoodie like me, but color black, and a pair of black hiking sandals. "..." Although, I was quite surprised as it was my first time seeing him in a casual clothing, but... don't you think there's something wrong here? Why do we seem to wear the same style? Is there really such a coincidence? It's also very vague that we planned it... I noticed that Logan frowned a bit when he saw that I was a bit stunned and dumbfounded by what he was wearing. He turned his attention to what he was wearing and then to what I was wearing and he immediately understood why I reacted like that. He returned his gaze to me. "It was just a coincidence," he said in a deep calm voice as if just stating a fact. His expression remained emotionless. I can't help but to twitch my eye. Yes. I can see that... But do we really need to wear almost the same clothes? I sighed. Whatever. That's just wearing it. I decided not to dwell on this trivial matter, and asked him again. "So why are you following me?" I looked at him seriously. Although I was calmly looking at him, I was actually alert and vigilant against him. I really don't know what he is up to for following me. He opened his mouth, but he didn't answer my question instead. "Follow me," he said then turned around and walked out of this dark alley. I can't help but to twitch my eye for the second time. This bossy attitude... is really infuriating... I first looked at the people lying on the floor before I left.
