The River goddess and her tests
There was a village where are a small hill ,wheat fields ,forest and long narrow calmly flowing river called as kaveri.In the morning the hill looks like dews covered clouds and every small trees plants grasses flowers and rocks stones and soil are stood bathing by dews. when sun beams comes dews becomes more glow like small diamonds stones that drops down slowly from leafs of trees and plants. Small birds sing song in sweet sounds away that resounds around the hill area. the sun sees the hill and its all things are standing wet. after a little while he began to remove thier wetness with his hot beams
In the morning cooling atmosphre would spread over in the forest. every trees plants grass and also land would get wet. dew drops like crystal down slowly from leafs of plants and grasses.when the sun comes araising he would get dry the wetness with his hot light. the time when sun beams touch the land then wildlifes begin thier works. birds begin to sing songs and go to have breakfast alone and with friends from thier favourite fruits making trees. they like sweety and bitter fruits and drinks and clean water from plant leafs tree hollows streams also many beautifull and small and bigs butterflie and flies and honeybees and other bees come and search for foods they walk flying around the flowers from place to another and from one flower to another flowers. the flowers that opening in plants and trees are beautiful and producing good fragrance when breeze comes the fragrance spread over the forest along with breeze.Without fruit trees and herbal plants there are lots of trees that uses by village people for domestic needs they collects fruits, herbal plants for food and medicine.
Kaveri was prosperity and way of living of villagers she was blessings of village people's.she gives many blessings to village people.she gives clean and pure not saulty water to them daily for thier basic needs they uses kaveri water for bathing. farmers would get off the thirsty of their animals.they irrigate thier wheat fiields and farms, plantations in the every days.Also they used to use her to catch fishes that are small and big sizes for their food items daily she allows peoles to use big and small rafts and small boats to go and come towards forest collecting wild items in the river.. there are many stories about her but they believe as a story in ancient books or mythological stories however they believe in river goddes. since then village were known as kaveri village
The peoples of the village were hard workers and having good nature and behaviour. they believed in moral life not in immoral life they were helped eachother in their family matters, issues they had good relation in their neighborhood and our relations they had deity on the hill area they would go in every days, weeks to offer things that the deity likes for getting blessings from thier god and would pray for good days.
The kaveri people would do woodcutting, agriculture ,farming,fishing,natural medicines, sheltering,taking honey from forest.likewise they were well skilled in other works. their main cultivation was wheat. their main food item was wheat . families in kaveri were hard workers and well believers in their hill god. one of the families was woodcutter and his family. he had father, mother, wife and a son ramu. they all would love ramu and take care over him from childhood. he would get educations from his family his teachers were his father, mother, grand father and mother. they would teach him good manners, behaviors, talks and stories of thier hill gods.
he would listen what his parents says and he would try doing so. he also loved, respected and obeyed them very much. sometime he would showed his naughtiness. once ramu's mother tried to teach him cooking
mother. ramu, come and sit with me. i teach you cooking rotti
ramu. mother i dont like cooking. i want to play
mother(angrily). stop this naughy behaviours. life is not only for play you must learn good habits and useful works
ramu(thinking). my mother works hard for me everyday. i should not disobey her.
ramu. yes ma, i understand
mother. my child, respecting parents is a great vertue. hardwork will make you better
ramu. ok mother
mother. that is my happiness
one day ramu's father was cutting woods for kichen uses.while cutting she took rest for a while. ramu come running near father. he then run around his father, shouted loudly and tried to play with sharp axes
father. ramu, it is not toy, you can get hurt badly
ramu. i was just playing
father. playing near dangerous can harm you and others. when we work we must careful and responsible
ramu. what if we dont
father. we will get harm and work will be bad
ramu. i understood. i will not behave badly again.

Cows, goats,hens were at ramu's home.grand father would look them. oneday grandfather and ramu went to graze
grandfather. ramu walk slowly. let the goats eat
ramu. they are going everwhere.(throwing stones and muds) go there

grandfather. goats and cows gives us mliks that make us healthy and our hens and ducks gives us eggs that also make us healthy and also help us to earn money
ramu. yes, they give me everyday mlik and eggs. isnt? granfather

ramu's grandmother was taken care of ram at the time without presence of his mother she was bathed, ate, dressed and taught him with
good habits. with his grandmother he would go to nursery every day and would come back
while go and come, grandmother also taught him many good things
when he was young age he began to help on every work of family and friends, friends familes so neigbours like him very much. ramu with friends would go hill and they would pray and give offering for his diety
they would go for fishing in kaveri together
oneday they were going in small boat in river for fishing one of his friend sliped his leg and fell down to the river
friend. help me
friends. come on friend, catch the boat
he tried to get in but he could not
friends started to laughing
ramu. show your hand
friend. catch my hand
after ramu catched and made him in the boat
also he would help his father in working
oneday ramu went to forest to help
father and with friends they reached a place where a big tree were standing near river. after cutting ramu's father took rest. at that time ramu tried cut it. while he cutting the tree his axe slipped down to the river. he jumped into water and found it but not got. he became disappointment. he thought how will i get it. then a beautiful lady came in a small boat when she saw him asked.
lady. what are looking for?
ramu. my axe fallen in water
kady. what a fiolish and careless boy you are?
ramu. i tried to hold it tightly
lady. tried. you have no skilland sense
ramu. the water is deep and underflow
lady. what will get blaming the river
ramu. please help me
At that time a dog was floating in the water seeing this view ramu jumped to water and catched the dog and got him out of the water
lady. how foolish you are
ramu. what sister?
lady. you lost your axe. still waste your time saving this dog
ramu. life is more important than axe
lady. ok, i will help you but one condition you should keep my things that are valuable and dont take anything away
ramu. no i wont touch anything

ramu. i wil be carefull next time
then she jumped into water and come up without axe
lady. no nothing there.
ramu. what i do.it is my father'axe
he began to be sorrow and weep
lady. dont worry. she showed a pot with a golden pearl.
lady. take it and buy another axe and go to home
ramu. no it is not my Father axe. please try
then she jumped into water and come up without axe and replied
lady. no nothing. don't worry, take this pot it is full of money. you can buy another axe
ramu. no i dont need. i need my father axe back.
lady. ok. i try again.
then she jumped into water. he was looking sadly and he pray to hill god that he worships ever. after a moment she come up with a axe
lady. is it your father axe?
ramu. yes.
he replied happily.lady smiled and told
lady. you are a good boy. i like your love with father,interest of helping of other animals and your truthness and patience
ramu. i thank you very much. what i have to do for this favour
lady. what will you give
ramu. now i have nothing in my hand we are poor family
lady. then i have. take this two pots with axe
ramu. really.thank you. tell me your name sister?
lady. i am kaveri. this is my river she replied smiling
ramu. really thank you kaveri i will remind your help ever.then he returned to the place where his father sits.
ramu. father. i got pots that are given by kaveri who was going in boat and helped to find axe and he told about what happened there
father. ok ramu it is our fortune. come go to home
they went to home happilly. ramu also blessed by kaveri.
