Chapter thirty-five: Mira
My body was sore all over when I woke up, and my head was a blur. I was still tired, but I couldn’t fall back asleep. Flashes of last night came to me, and I buried my head in my pillow. I was so embarrassed. I had woken several times during the night and seduced Matthew like my life depended on it. Luckily, Matthew didn’t need much persuading. I had no idea what had come over me. It was like my body was on fire and Matthew was cold water. My mind had been strangely on autopilot and my body had acted on its own. On that note, I discovered that Matthew wasn’t in bed next to me. I was amazed by how little sleep that man needed sometimes. I rolled over on Matthew’s side of the bed and buried my head in his pillow instead.
