Chapter 8 Detective Derning was getting nowhere in his investigation of Joe Connolly’s murder. There were no eyewitnesses, and the damn cameras in the hospital parking garage were not helpful. “I apologize for this, but with Obamacare and decreased reimbursement from Medicare, we have had to cut a lot of corners, and security is one of them,” CEO Rob Chapman had explained during a recent phone call. “Even though we installed an additional hundred eyes in the sky, only about twenty percent of those cameras are live.
