Chapter 28
Allison was back in SICU in less than fifteen minutes and ate her Lean Cuisine in the lounge while mulling over her interaction with Marchman. He looked like a tired, beat-up guy lying in that hospital bed, yet he was a calculating murderer. It was all so difficult to process. She let her mind drift back to Sean and his unfinished email. He had tried so hard to warn her how dangerous Marchman was. The whole thing sickened her.
Once more she tried to put things together and figure out why Bobbi continued to protect him. She wondered if Paula knew anything. She’d call her when she was home later.
After she finished her lunch, she went back out to the unit, checked on her patients, and thanked Melanie for watching them. Both were stable, and for that she was grateful.
