Chapter 27 After Allison awoke, she made coffee and had a yogurt before leaving for the police station. She was eager to hear the details about Derning’s investigation. When she arrived at what had now become a familiar place to her, she entered and found Detective Derning at his desk. “I got here as soon as I could,” Allison said. “The time is fine.
