Chapter 7: The Hurt

The next few weeks were a blur of training and preparation. Alex and Liam taught Emma how to defend herself, honing her skills with weapons and teaching her the art of survival. The threat of the rogue werewolves loomed over them, but their bond grew stronger with each passing day.

One evening, as they were practicing in the forest, they heard the distant howl of a rogue werewolf. Alex’s eyes darkened. “They’re close.”

Liam nodded, his expression grim. “It’s time to take the fight to them.”

Armed and ready, the trio set out into the depths of the forest. The moonlight filtered through the trees, casting eerie shadows on the ground. Emma’s heart pounded with a mix of fear and excitement as they moved silently through the underbrush.

They soon found themselves in a clearing, where a group of rogue werewolves had gathered. The leader, a hulking beast with scars marring its face, snarled at their approach.

“Leave now, and we won’t kill you,” the leader growled.

Alex stepped forward, his eyes blazing. “We’re not going anywhere.”

The leader lunged, and the clearing erupted into chaos. Alex and Liam transformed, their powerful forms clashing with the rogues in a brutal battle. Emma fought alongside them, her training kicking in as she dodged attacks and struck back with fierce determination.

The battle was intense, and the air was thick with the sounds of growls and snarls. Emma’s heart raced as she fought, her mind focused on survival and protecting those she loved.

With a final, desperate effort, they managed to defeat the rogues. The leader lay defeated at their feet, and the remaining rogues fled into the night. Alex and Liam, bloodied but victorious, reverted to their human forms and turned to Emma.

“You did great,” Alex said, his voice filled with pride.

Emma smiled, exhaustion washing over her. “We did it. Together.”

Liam nodded, his expression serious. “This isn’t over. But we’re stronger now, and we’ll face whatever comes next.”
