The day before New Year’s Eve, the guys gathered at the kitchen table for morning coffee.
“They’re having a party tomorrow night at the clubhouse here,” Skip said.
“Are the girls going?” Bobby asked.
“Cherry and Angelina are. Don’t know about Melanie,” Skip said.
“I’ll take Cherry. I prefer brunettes,” Bobby said.
“I think she likes you better anyway. Angelina is mine. What about you, Nat?” Skip asked.
“Nope. I’ll stay home or go stag,” the first baseman said.
“Stag? On New Year’s?” Skip’s face registered shock.
“Why would you? Guaranteed you’ll get laid,” Bobby said.
“No way. I’ve got to stay single here. Lucy and Nicki’ll kill me,” Nat said.
Bobby shook his head. “Too bad. Maybe Melanie would do a threesome.”
“Like you even know what that is,” Skip snorted
