The next day!
Shawn’s POV
“I was going to call the doctor if you didn’t open your eyes anytime from now,” I said in relief the moment Cassie looked into my eyes.
“Why are you on your knees? Did you sleep at all?” She asked me, her voice came out hoarse, probably because this was her first word of the day.
“Do you want water?” I asked, and she nodded slowly.
I helped my wife sit up, after which I went to the other side of the room to fetch water from the jar on the table. I poured some into a glass cup and took it to her.
Cassie was about to grab the glass from me. I noticed her hand was shaky, so I fed her myself. She finished the content in the cup. Well, I wasn’t surprised because she had been napping for a long time.
