The Unchosen

The warmth that comes from the sun calms me. Im here at the gazebo near the pool. I'm waiting for mom and dad for breakfast. I'm busy looking at the foods on the table we have bacons,pancakes hotdogs and fried rice. "Goodmorning Sev are you ready for school next week na ang pasok nyo" mom asked as she kissed my chicks. "Opo mom actually nakabili na po ako ng school supplies ko yesterday with Cali and Phoebe"I answered while munching my pancakes which is my favorite breakfast. "Sev college student ka na ah. Be good and be nice wag ka na pasaway. I know you can do it " Dad said while sipping his coffee. "Dad naman I'm not pasaway kaya. And I'm sure I will be busy you know HRM student merely have time" I answered while smiling mischievously to them. "Ok I'm just reminding you babygirl you are our unica hija and we love you" Dad was looking at me. "Ah! I'm touched I love you both" I kissed them both. "Ok dear we have to go we have meetings to attend too.You know our hotels are expanding if your going somewhere just text us ok" Mom said while checking her phone. "Ok po bye mom and dad" and I waved at them. After I ate breakfast I went to my room to take a bath. I looked at the mirror and examine myself I've got a pair of almond eyes that I inherited on my father. My nose is pointed but it's small, I have a cupid bow lips just like my mother. My hair is shoulder length, I am not a fun of long hair ever since. I have a fair complexion since I lived in Manila for long years. People say that I am a carbon copy of my mom when she was young except the eyes. After that I chose ripped shorts and white crop top I tied my hair put my specs and a little bit of lip balm and I'm finished. I'm going to make a tour in our farm . Here in Isla Alfonso our clan the Vergara owns a huge hectares of land. We also have poultry and mango plantation. Dad was the one managing our farm while Mom was busy on expanding our Hotel chains which is the V Hotel. I didn't bother to use umbrella while walking on the farm. Some of our workers greeted me and I did the same. Habang busy ako sa pag tingin sa mga puno. Biglang may nagtakip ng mata ko. "Ah!.. whose this ba my God I'm gonna punch you"sigaw ko. Walang pag aalinlangan na kinagat ko ang kamay niya. "Ang sakit ouch Sev why did you bite my hands" namumula nyang sabi. "Hmp ikaw kase Teon e why did you cover my eyes ba". I'm looking at him habang patuloy nyang hinahawakan ang kamay nyang kinagat ko. Teon Ezikiel De Alva he is my boy bestfriends we know each other since we are in diapers . His mother and my mom were bestfriends . and he has a huge crush on one of my girl bestfriends Cali short for Caliliana Eve Alejandro. Teon was smiling while talking to me. He is taller than me I am 5'3 and he is 6 feet tall. He is moreno which suits him well. He has a pair of round eyes it's attractive to his fan girls. "Kasi nmn Sev ko lang itanong kung doon na ba talaga kayo mag-aaral sa SAU " short for St.Alfonso University where the sons and daughters of the richest clans of San Alfonso are studying. I narrowed my eyes because of the sunlight "Yup me,Cali and Phoebe were going to study there next week". Biglang nagningning ang kanyang mga mata "Yes araw araw ko makikita si Cali"sigaw niya at nag tatalon sa tuwa. Kaya naman iniwan ko na sya bago pa siya mabaliw sa tuwa . I continue walking until I reached my favorite spot of our land the top hill, from here you can see the whole plantation. And there is a tree house in here my dad was the one who made this. I realize that there's a lot of changes here in our place. I was away for 6 years. My girl bestfriends and I study at Manila during our high school and senior high years. But after so many discussions to our parents, finally they let us study here again. I missed this place I miss the fresh air I miss the people.
