Mya
"Mom, I don't know what to do. I'm so scared." I said, crying into my mom's chest. Ever since my mother came back into my life, I've become such a momma's girl.
"Oh. Sweetie, it will be okay. Just pray and everything will be alright." I shook my head and wiped my face and waited for the doctors to come back.
"You okay ?" I looked up to see Bri, staring at me.
"Yea, I'm fine." she sat down on my lap and weapped her arms around me. I couldn't help but to smile.
"Mya, you been so depressed and I want the old Mya back. We all do. It's so boring without you." she pouted.
"If only, August is okay. Then I will ?" A door busted open and a doctor with blood on his clothes came out.
"Family of August Alsina ?" August's mom, his nieces, and myself all went to the doctor.
"Well how is he ?" I asked. He sighed and shook his head in disapproval.
"I'm sorry but he didn't make it." Those words shattered my heart and I dropped to the ground, weeping and crying. I got up, still crying and ran to August's room.
I opened the door and there he was. Lifeless. I ran to him and began to shake him uncontrollably but nothing happened.
"Mya ?" My mom called out. She made it to the room and bent down in front of me.
"Wake up." she said.
"Huh ?" then it all faded away. I opened my eyes and felt drenched in sweat. I looked up and seen my mother.
"Mom." I gave her a hug. I let her go and walked downstairs to see Kevin, Isis, August, and Bridgett.
"August." I exclaimed, running to him. I embraced him into a tight hug and he just patted my back.
"You alright ?" he asked. I lifted his shirt and saw no wounds. It was all tattoos.
"But I thought you-- I could have sworn that--"
"It's alright, Mya. Quit stressing." then I sighed and sat down.
August
"Mya, what happened in your dream ?" Isis asked her. She took a gulp of water before she began.
"It was about how August got shot and ended up in the hospital in a coma. Then all of a sudden, he just died." she said.
"I died ?" I asked. She just shook her head. "Wow, I ain't ready for death so that can slide." then everybody laughed.
"I just remember being depressed. And no one likes depressed people." she sniffled.
"Well, ain't nobody gonna die in here so let's not think about that. Who wants peach cobbler ?" Mama asked and we all ran to the kitchen.
