Chapter 2: Focus Alison!

"Uhh y-yeah your just in time for your appointment M-Mr noble" Britney stumbled over her words. I would too if I was in her position.

Even his silhouette was breathtakingly beautiful.

He took a step forward letting the door he was holding open swing back shut, I saw his figure much better now without the glare of the sun, the first thing I noticed was his black hair and grey eyes, his Caucasian skin was slightly tanned and his white cotton t-shirt strained against his large pectoral muscles.

He looked at me and smiled.

"You must be Dr. Powell, pleasure to meet you" he took some steps towards me . Nine actually, yes, I counted. I probably looked stupid looking at his feet too.

He held out a hand to me, I looked at it, his large hand , for a moment and then shook it quickly remembering to do so.

"The pleasure is all mine" I said trying my best to ignore the static between our touch. I briefly looked up at his beautiful eyes that looked back intensely in mine then let go.

I broke the staring contest and quickly looked away to the ground.

Britney rose her hand as if she was in a class "Uh, do you mind filling out this form Mr. noble?", Britney asked handing him the 'first visit form'.

"Sure", he said before taking another glance at me before doing so.

Did I have something on my face? I wondered, I couldn't help but be paranoid as I waited for him to finish the form.

He did, and handed it to Britney who put it in a folder and handed it to me.

He continued looking at me not directly in a creepy way but when I caught him he would look away.

But once again we were in eyelock, "Shall we?" I asked awkardly disturbing the s****l tension between us

"After you" He gestured.

"OK"

We walked around the half circle desk and made our way to my office, we passed Jhenes own.

Jhene was my high school and college best friend we both took similar classes and bonded over the love of the sciences.

We had always been there for each other over the years we both had our struggles but we got through them with the help of each other. She was currently on her day off today so I took some her appointments including little miss Sarah. I smiled at how adorable she was.

We arrived at my brown office door with my name printed in gold letters. We entered and I took my seat on my side of the table and he took his on the other, I put his folder out and started writing.

"So, Mr. noble, what seems to be the problem?" I asked maintaining my composure as much as possible.

"Well I'm having a tooth ache" he told me.

"Could you tell which tooth?", I asked making eye contact for .05 seconds before looking back at my paper.

"Its at the back to the left", he tried to explain.

"Molar", I mumbled while I wrote.

"Yeah that, I forgot", he laughed.

I smiled.

"I was eating a lobster at a dinner party last night and I think my filling may have come loose" He continued waiting for my answer.

" Ok, I will have to check it out in my exam room" I took a moment to finalize my notes.

I felt his eyes as he silently watched me.

"Please follow me" I got up and went to the door, I turned around to see him standing but looking at me with those grey eyes.

We stood there for a moment staring at each other. The corner of his lip twitched into a smile.

"After you Dr. Powell" he said finally.

"Right, Follow me" I repeated and made my way to the exam room his footsteps close behind me.

Why am I so awkward?

"Have a seat in that chair please" The back of the chair faced the door so I went around it to the table on the other side of the room where the chair faced my back as worked to put on my gloves and got my utensils ready.

I turned around and made my way to the chair that was beside the one he was currently laid back in.

"Open your mouth please" I instructed and as he did I caught a whiff of pepper mint that was now mixing with his faint axe cologne. I loved the fact that it was not as pungent as the other male patients.

I began inspecting his mouth with my little mirror to see that his filling was indeed coming loose.

"Your filling is becoming loose, I will have to refill it or I would recommend you to go to your original dentist" he nodded.

"What you can do in the meanwhile is to not to eat anymore hard foods like the lobster you ate" I told him.

"It was a bad lobster" he joked.

"It definitely was" I agreed smiling.

We stayed there for moment looking at each other then again he spoke up.

"I would like you to do my filling since I will be staying here for a while" he said.

"I was here on business and ...things came up" he smirked at me. Weird.

"Ok give me a minute" I stood up.

"Oh", I turned to him, "the filling will be a charge of-" he cut me off.

"I don't care about the charge, just hurry and get back" he said. Pushy isn't he?

"Ok I'll be right back then" I assured him.

I went around to the other room to get some more tools then returned.

He was on his phone by the time I got back.

I waited for him to finish then sat down and immediately started putting my gloves on and I got the needle to numb his gums so it can be easier.

"Say ah" I said.

He playfully glared then did so.

I leaned in to inject his gum then his scent got me, it was so subtle yet it grabbed you and made you want more, then my finger was now on his lip only separated by the material of my gloves,it was so soft and smooth, the warmth from his mouth slowly caressed my ha-.

"Ow!" he screamed. I snapped out of my trance to see that I stuck him in his cheek! Kill me now, I can't take this.

"Oh my god I'm so sorry! here put this on it" I gave him a piece of cotton to stop the slight bleeding, not much came from the needle so it would only last a few minutes. He took the cotton.

"Thanks" he said but it sounded weird with the cotton in his mouth that puffed up his cheek a little.

"It will wear off in a few minutes" I told him.

There was silence.

"How about you make it up to me?" he looked up.

"Ok... I'll give you a 40% discount that's the best I can do right" I offered.

Please don't sue me was what was really on my mind.

"Hmm that's nice but I'll up the stakes, how about a date. With me of course" he gave me a smile awaiting my answer.

"Umm.."
