Chapter 3: The redress

"Umm...I can't, it's against my office policies" I lied.

I was not mentally prepared for any kind of dating or relationship or anything right now after Dane, it's been weeks since we spoke and I'm not looking forward for a conversation. Dane and I have been together for around two years, he was the one who took my virginity, he was my first everything and I have never been with anyone since he left. But I won't go into any details now.

"Well that's a dumb policy" he stated. "because that's how I want my redress" , he smirked thinking he won this case, he was currently sitting up in the chair with the cotton in his mouth, wait, shouldn't his mouth be numb by now?

"Isn't your mouth numb?" I asked trying to change the subject.

"My left cheek to be exact" he answered. "So how about that date?" he asked again.

That plan failed, "I told you I can't".

"Liar" he playfully glared he was so damn sexy.

Concentrate, remember the last time you had yourself thinking about him you almost numbed the entire left side of his face.

I listened to my inner voice knowing if I continue lusting overt his guy this might end a little worse than just sticking him in the the cheek with a needle.

" I just can't ok?" I tried again to let go of the subject but he just won't stop.

"Why?" he pushed.

"Because it's none of your business" I replied. wishing that I numbed his goddamn tongue too.

" Hmm that's not valid enough" he said awaiting another answer.

"Just stop because your not getting anywhere ok?" I was starting to get irritated because he wouldn't let the subject go.

"I'm not gonna 'stop' until you say 'oh yes Christopher of course I'll go out with you' " he tried copying my voice in a very annoying falsetto voice.

"First of all I don't think I or any other human being sounds like that" he frowned. " And secondly it's still a no" For a second he looked genuinely disappointed then he quickly picked up.

I felt bad for him, maybe I shouldn't have been that harsh.

"Ok", he simply stated with a mischievous smirk on his face.

"Ok" I said suspiciously.

About a minute passed without a word between us.

"Can you feel your cheek now?" I broke the silence.

He checked by using his tongue.

"Yep" he popped the 'p', cute.

"Good lets get you filled then" I said as if nothing had happened.

A few minutes later I finished with his filling, no incidents again thankfully, I mentally clapped myself for not being distracted by his aura again.

"All finished Mr. Nob-"

"Call me Christopher" He cut me off again.

"Christopher" I said through gritted teeth.

He smiled knowing how I hated that. And I really did.

"Ok then I guess you know your way out to the receptionist you can pay there I'll come around to tell her about the discount", I said while making my way to bin to discard my gloves.

"There is no need for the discount but ok and I'll wait for you" I paused and turned around.

"You don't have to you know" I said.

"I know but I will" He replied.

"Ok" I said as I continued putting my tools away.

After I put everything away I turned around putting my hands in my coat pockets that reached right above my knees, I wore a black button up blouse and black work pants today, I am not as interesting as Jhene who would have had extra clothes ready for clubbing over the weekend with her other girlfriends, I would go sometimes but I always regret it since it always brings up memories no matter how hard I try to forget, Jhene would always try her best to cheer me up in those moments and I appreciate it, as always, that's why we were the best of friends, but I would rather stay home with Randy my border collie than go out any time soon.

"Are you ready?" I heard him say snapping me out of my thoughts, I could hear a little concern in his voice as he asked.

"Yeah I'm ready,lets go" I said ready to leave.

"Ok" he replied.

We made our way to the receptionist desk to see Britney talking on the phone, probably another patient making an appointment.

" Is everything ok Britney?" I asked as I went around to the front of the desk.

"Yes everything is fine just an appointment being rescheduled" she informed.

"Ok, Mr.Noble here is to get 40% off from his total price" I told Brittney as I handed her Christophhers file.

He came around to pay his bill, I took the chance to check for any messages from Jhene or anyone else,I saw a text from her asking if the day was going well, I texted her telling her that we needed to talk ASAP.

Jhene: Whats up? are you ok?

Alison: I am fine but the guy in front of me is finer 0.0

Jhene: Oh my god!!! you found someone! thank god on a scale of 1-10...???

Alison: abt 13 XD , but that's not what i want to tlk to you abt i will talk to u later ok? at my place

Jhene: OMG ok laters babe :D

I shook my head at that conversation i just had with my bff, (yes I still say that) she is crazy and tonight is gonna be crazier with what I'm gonna tell her.

Christopher had finished paying by now and was coming off of his phone, it was the same I phone 5 as mine but mine was white and his was black.

"Well, I will be going now dr. Powe-" I cut him off.

"Call me Alison" I said smirking as I played his own game.

"Alison" He said smoothly with a light smile, this was too much for me now, he is too sexy.

He slowly backed up to the door then opened it all while looking at me and me him.

"Until we meet again , Alison" He said then made his way to the other side of the door.

He was gone and now I have Jhene to deal with tonight, I guess this wasn't going to be a boring night afterall...
