Chapter 18: Could perfection catch a cold?

865 Words
Christopher POV: We arrived back at the party to see that it was in full swing. I looked over to see Emanuel at his pool drinking beer and talking to several people. I need to see Jose now. The news my father brought wasn’t pleasant, and I hated the fact that I had to hear it from him, he told me an old friend/business partner is plotting to come after me, the story as to why was very complicated, and I have the creepy feeling that he is here but I want to cause Alison any trouble nor Emanuel’s party. "Christopher?" Alison snapped me out of my thoughts. I looked at her. "We need to go if you don’t want to catch a cold" She was right. But I couldn't find Jose. "Ok give me a second…" I ran off in Emanuel’s direction. "Oh hello brother! What are doing here! You should be somewhere private with her" He slurred and pointed drunkly in Alison’s direction. Even when drunk Emanuels hair and clothes were perfectly kept. I need tips. "Hey bro, do you know where Jose is?" I inquired. "He left around... I don’t know thirty minutes ago? He said to tell you he was gone... never to return!" He threw his hands in the air and laughed with his friends, definitely drunk. I ran back to Alison, I guess I’ll talk to him tomorrow. "Ready now, sorry about that" I explained. "No problem" She said simply while looking around. "Ok..." We arrived at the front to see that my car was gone. Great. "And Jose has my car" I stated. "How did he think you were gonna get home?" Alison asked a bit amused. "Correction- he doesn't think" I informed her. How did he get my keys? I thought. She laughed. "We can go in my car instead" She offered. "Awesome! Lets go" We searched for her vehicle, when we were close she stopped and turned around. "Look, my car is no ferrari or any of those fancy cars you kn-" "Hey, I don’t care as long as I’m driving" I smirked. "What? Oh Hell no, that’s my baby your talking about" She stated. "Oh come on! You’re wasting time!" She contemplated. Contemplated! "Ok, but please don't scratch her" she gave me the keys. "Finally! *Achoo!*" I confused myself, I can't get sick! "Did you just sneeze?" She said amused as she entered the car. "This is all you and your babys fault!" I sniffed. "It’s hard to keep up an argument when you sound like one of the three little pigs" she laughed. I gave her a look then we drove out of the yard. "If you weren’t so beautiful I wouldn’t have been distracted and fell into god knows what was mixed in that random body of water" I argued, with another sneeze. "Don’t blame my beauty on this, Christopher! You’re just a big hunky piece of clumsyness!" She shouted. "Hunky eh?" I smirked at her. "Nice" She froze. "Is that all you heard" I continued smirking at her. ** We stopped at the gate of Jose’s place. I sneezed. I pressed the buzzer, no answer. I sneezed. Damn! I couldn’t shout because I would be disturbing neighbours and I can’t be bothered with any trouble now. I buzzed a couple more times before giving up with a sneeze. "No answer and my hotel's is all the way on the other side of the city.. up for a road trip?" She looked to be in thought. ** Alison POV~ I thought about it, I can't travel back home all alone after droping him off its like twelve am now and he’s sick he could develop the full on flu by morning and I don’t think he can get any medicine now... "Hello?" He snapped his fingers smiling. "Where were you? Alaska?" He joked. I smiled, here goes nothing. "Why don’t you bunk at my place?" I offered, not looking at him. He looked stunned. Dramatic much. "Me? Sleep at your place?" Here we go. "Yes Christopher" "Wow, I can't believe this, Alison- the woman who rejected a date with me- is actually inviting me stay at her place" "Enough, or I’ll leave you in the street" I stated. "Look who’s driving babe" he smirked. I rolled my eyes. We hopped in and i gave him the necessary directions as we went, then when we were close enough he asked. "Why'd you offer to let me stay?" He asked seriously. "Because you’re sick and need me to help you get better and I’m not traveling home alone at this time" I replied. He looked like he was going to say something. "Aww thanks sugar" he said instead then sneezed. I rolled my eyes for like the 200th time now, ok, that’s a bit dramatic maybe the 100th time.
