Chapter 15: Let's Dance

818 Words
Alison POV I contemplated for a moment...Who the eff am I kidding? "Sure" I said almost instantly. "Let’s go then" He replied grinning. He then held out his hand for me to hold. I held it. The electricity between us made me shiver. I then slowly looked up at him to find him looking at me also with a look in his eyes that could melt any woman. It made my knees buckle. He smiled a little and I smiled back, maybe he feels the same? I hoped he felt the same. ** Christopher POV- She took my hand lightly, as delicately as I could. Then I felt the static, again. I was feeling so many things as I watched her looking at our hands, she was simply angelic, her ebony skin was slippery smooth, her soft brown eyes were now covered by her long eyelashes and her lips, oh those lips I wanted them, so bad to be on my own. She looked up at me. With those very eyes... snap out of it!. I smiled at her to ease the s****l tension forming between us. She smiled back. "C'mon before the song ends" I said which made her smile once again. That electrifying smile. Once we got to the dance floor, everyone was already slow dancing close to each other. I turned to Alison and held her left hand with my right and guiding my left to her waist. Surprisingly she came close to me, her warm body was now pressed against mine, I couldn’t help but feel the curves of her own body, I couldn’t help but noticed the parts that were pressed more me and the gaps in between. We were dancing comfortably, after a few bumps here and there, then when we turned I spotted the beach with a few couples walking down the rocky path towards the shore, I had an idea. ** Alison POV- As we danced slowly, my stomach was doing backflips inside of me, I tried my best to look as calm as ever, but I k new I was failing, I was never good at hiding emotions from my face language. My head was resting on his chest, I smiled as I took in his warmth that enveloped me in the cool night, I sighed in content. "Are you enjoying yourself?" I heard Christopher’s voice above me low and sexy, as per usual. "Yes, I am" I replied in just the same manner, he smiled then twirled me quite smoothly. Once I was back in his embrace I spotted Jhene talking to Christopher’s brother, Jose I remembered. He went for a drink it looked like, then Jhene gave me dorkiest double thumbs up I've ever seen, I rolled my eyes to look the other way, then I saw him, the back of a man who looked terribly familiar, the way he swayed his hand back and forth stupidly while in conversation, it couldn’t be him, no... "Hey, do you want to go to the beach it looks nice and quie-" "Sure!" I said eagerly. I then went ahead to the beach with Christopher trying to keep up. Nope not tonight. "Slow down Alison the beach isn’t running away" Christopher joked. "Hardi har har" I said sarcastically. I slowed down enough for Christopher to walk alongside me, we weaved through cheesy couples and made it to the concrete pathway. I looked around for Jhene but didn’t see her, I wanted to call her but I didn’t want to spoil her night so I just walked. "Is something wrong?" Christopher asked. "Oh no of course not" I lied, not that I didn’t trust him but I still wasn't sure of what I saw a while ago, I really hope I was wrong I couldn’t face him tonight and not ever. "Ok..." he dragged, obviously not convinced, but he let go of the topic, thankfully. We reached the sand and I took off my shoes quickly, we walked in comfortable silence along the beach, we listened to the waves crashing on the huge boulders every now and again and looked at the moonlight. He then took off his jacket showing his defined muscles printing through the shirt. If he was giving me the jacket for warmth he's too late. But I accepted any way. "Cheesy, but thanks" I thanked him. "Your welcome" he chuckled then said cheerfully. We were once again in silence. "It’s so beautiful out here" I said softly not wanting to disturb the silence. "Not as beautiful as you are" I heard Christopher say almost in a whisper. I smiled at the compliment and leaned on his shoulder. "Thank you" I said. We continued walking and all my worries floated away with the wind.
