Reclaiming the Past

Selwyn smiled as he looked at her, patiently waiting for her vision to end. "Welcome back, did you learn what you must?" he asked warmly. "I did, and when we rejoin the others, I have an announcement to make. Can you get word to the outside world?" she asked him. Selwyn smiled as he looked at her. "It would be as simple as getting on social media, what would you wish us to let the world know?" he asked curious as she smiled. "You do not reveal your location do you?" she asked. "No, our location is not shared. It however would not matter, most of our settlements are on the borders. I assure you it is well secured against any who would dare pursue you." Selwyn assured her as none had penetrated their outer defenses in a long time. "Than I wish to broadcast what I say, so those that might follow the path may be ready to do so. We have much work to do, and this journey will prove to be complicated." Emily said as Selwyn smiled. "Come with me majesty." he said bowing slightly as he walked deeper into the temple. He lead her to a door, and used the key around his neck to unlock it. "You will find everything you need in here, and are welcome to all of it. When you are ready we will welcome your address to the people." he said before bowing slightly and departing to begin the preparation for her. She took less than half an hour to change, and had found a flowing white dress with gold trim that fit her exactly the way she wanted. Selwyn was waiting for her when she opened the door, and lead her to the bottom floor. "You should be prepared for what this will cause, most of the world believes you to be dead." Selwyn said just beforenthe doors. "Selwyn, if I could prove I was a descendant of William, would the Lycans follow me?" she asked. "To prove such a thing could be impossible, but if you could, yes." he answered carefully. Emily let her eyes glow bright purple, and the shock he experienced was evident upon his face. "To prove such a thing will be a simple matter, as many phophecies are written about my arrival." Selene said through Emily before withdrawing again. Selwyn had felt the raw power of her wolf, and knew she was no small wolf. She was the heir of Kygon and William, the last of the Royal Lycan line. "If you change, they will follow." he said as he bowed formally to her for a moment. Emily knew he spoke the truth, and she was about tonchange the course of history. "Prepare yourself Selwyn, because of what they Vampires have done there will be no oeace again." Emily said as he nodded and opened the doors before walking onto the balcony. "Greeting members of The Meadows and honored guests. For those of the Lycan Kingdom, our prayers have been answered. For those of the other Races of our fair planet we bid you welcome. For the first time in our history we are graced with the presence of one who might heal the wounds of old." Selwyn said to a round of applause and howls from the gathered. "Without further ado, I will allow her to introduce herself." he said as he stepped out of the way and bowed to the door as she entered. Emily walked up to the microphone, and she could tell that Brian was nervous about all the cameras recording her. "My name is Emily Dickinson, Daughter of Andromeda and Todd Dickinson. I am the sole surviving member of the Royal Family, Heir to the Throne of Willian and Korgan, King of the Lycans!" she said to a gasp from the crowd. "I must apologize to the humans whom we have hidden among for so long, for what is about to happen is beyond the control of mortals. My family was brutally attacked and killed by Vampires that take orders from the Goddess Sehkmet, and they hunt me still. Despite the rumors, they have failed in their mission to destroy the last of the Wolf Royal Family. Today I begin the path laid before me by the Moon Goddess, and by the time I am finished I shall find the answers to the history we have left long forgotten. "I never asked for what has happened, however I vow I will spend every breath avenging the cowardly attack by those who dare not show themselves openly. The assassination of the Royal Family can and will ever only have one response. I call upon all packs still loyal to the Royal Family to prepare for war, make no mistake the Vampires mean to wipe us from the face of existence. I do what the Moon Goddess has commanded, and once I emerge it will be at the head of an army intent on destroying those that stand in our path to justice. To the Humans that may be injured, know that no matter what happens moving forward, those that follow me will never attack you. We have lived among you for thousands of years, to the point our existence has been relegated to myth and superstition. "I wish I could tell you this is just a bad joke, but once agains Humans, Wolves and other super natural creatures find ourselves bearing the brunt of wars between Gods. We could never hope to match them, and can do little more than hope to survive. We must all prepare for the war that is to come, as our strength can only be increased by working together!" Emily finished as she began her shift in front of them. The Lycans gasped as soon as her eyes changed, as they remembered the color of the Royal Family. William was the last of his family to have them, as he had betrayed the Moon Goddess by abandoning his family. The Werewolf Nation would recognize her family resemblance, and be able to match her appearance to the official records. Her shift however continued, and even the Werewolves knew of the Prophecy of the White Wolf. William was the only Royal who walked on two legs, and by the time she stood there as a wolf, she was 12 feet tall at the shoulder. Her fur seemed to glow, even though the New Moon was dark as it crossed the sky above her. She changed back, and every Wolf in attendance knelt before her as a show of respect. She stepped back into the shadows, knowing that what she had said would shock the world. Selwyn stepped back up to the microphone, as shocked as everyone else. "As the evidence is clear, I call upon the Lycan Clans to increase the patrols of our land for any dangers that wish to challenge the might of our nation as the Queen moves to reunite our broken nation!" he said emphatically into the microphone to a nearly deafening howl from the Lycans gathered. "To thise that would call us friend, we invite you to join us as we prepare to eradicate these ruthless vampires once and for all. To those that would stand against the Moon Goddess, woe be unto you as we battle. To the humans, we will respect your decision should you wish to remain neutral. Should you choose to stand against us with those who would call you food, we will be a merciless as we are with them!" Selwyn said before he too stepped off the stage. It had been live streamed across the internet, and was even now going viral as the supernatural world shared it repeatedly. In less than 10 minutes it had reached the very audience she had wanted, and Sehkmet went into a rage. She killed those that were unfortunate to be in her vicinity, her blood lust threatening to bring her low again. She restrained herself though, and barely contained the beast that she could become. She was untouchable in the Lycan Kingdom, and she knew she would have to act fast before she became overwhelmed again. She summoned more of her Generals, and ordered them to increase the speed of their preparations to attack the Werewolf Empire. They had planned to kill them all, and leave the Wolf Nation forever broken. They had even begun spreading rumor that the Heir had been found amd killed, but this would undo that fiction easily. She knew her time grew short, and she was desperate to find the daughter the bastard of Artemis had given her. She had no idea that Artemis had bound her to the very person she sought to kill above all others, knowing it would be an act that Selene would never forgive.
