After broadcasting to all reapers what took place during the expedition, the traitors were stripped off their titles. Then, Lord Voix summoned me to his palace for a chat. The princess, although in despair, accompanied me to the palace.
She tearfully asked me, "how was he, Condy, was he valiant?"
"He was," I answered. "He'd never turn his back on us unlike your brother and his associates."
"I tried looking for an explanation as to why my brother would do this, but I never found one."
"You are strong, princess." I looked at her. "You're still calm even in this critical situation."
"By obligation," she explained, "I have to look strong and I've gotten used to being like this. Here we are..."
Lord Voix welcomed me, the sole survivor, and sympathized with him. While having an awkward conversation with Lord Voix who was with Princess Strotus, I noticed that something was off. Suddenly, I lost control of my body and collapsed down. Princess Strotus hurried over to help me up. I can't speak and I can't move any of part of my body except for my eyes.
"Why can't he move nor speak, father?" the princess asked.
"This could be the effects of the awakening," Lord Voix called for the assistance of reapers. "We should let him rest my daughter."
I can't move. It felt like I was being held against my will. It was Lord Voix's powers, but why was I the only one sensing him for using his godly powers? The princess wasn't even aware. As the reapers took me to one of the royal chambers and left me there to rest, Lord Voix entered the room and locked it.
"I'm surprised, truly..." Lord Voix showed his true colors. "You ruined my entire plan and exposed my son and my associates to the entire Death Verse. Oh you cannot record this one and attack me because I am using my powers against you, my creation. But I will allow you to speak..."
As soon as I was able to speak I yelled, "Traitor!"
"Sacrifices must be made in order to create the strongest weapon to fight with me against my fellow Supreme Beings," He grinned, "but you, although you ruined my plans for my son, I want you to be of use whether you like it or not."
"If I ever get my hands on you, I'll kill you!"
"You can't kill me," he grinned. "You will worship me after I turn you into one of my faithful followers."
"I will never follow the likes of you, murderer!"
"Now-now," he zapped my brain hard, "Nobody can hear you scream..."
"Damn you," I screamed in pain, "you monster!"
"When this is over, you will never damn me again." He continued to zap me as I start losing consciousness. "You will never question me again, my faithful follower~"
"You... wish..."

When Crystl awakened, he found himself in a room from the royal palace. At the end of the bed was Princess Strotus who was watching over him.
"Where am I?" he asked.
"You passed out and father had you taken here so that you could take a rest," she smiled at him. "You seemed so exhausted when I came here and so I decided that I would watch over you. Actually, Condy would've loved it if I was to watch over you from now on but father announced to the entire kingdom that you Crystl will replace the position of my brother Caine as a God Slayer."
"Father... Condy... Cyrrus..." he murmured and then looked at her with confused, "Who are you?"
"I beg your pardon?"
"Where am I and what happened to me?"
"What's wrong with you?" she felt something off, "My name is Strotus Darling and I am a princess. Do you have any idea of what happened to you?"
"I don't know but I cannot remember anything aside from me being Crystl."
She stood up, "Wait here and I'll go and get my father. Maybe he'll know what happened to you."
"Uh sure," he just nodded. "I'll just wait..."

"It seems that you have suffered a memory loss, Cyrrus." Lord Voix explained as he approached Crystl. "Do not worry because I will bring you back to perfect health."
"No," Crystl stood up and backed away from Lord Voix, "not you."
Lord Voix was surprised by his reaction, "why not?"
"My instincts tell me that you did something to my memories," Crystl weaponized his right arm, "so... back off."
"Crystl, what are you saying?" the princess worriedly asked. "You need to calm down."
"But I am calm, your highness." Crystl kept his eyes at Lord Voix, "I just have a problem with your father because I had strong hunch that he was trying to do something to me."
"You don't have any proof yet," Lord Voix smiled at him. "Maybe you are still on the process of recovery."
"No, I'm leaving..."
"I would suggest that you wouldn't," still puzzled, Lord Voix tried to stop him.
Crystl glared at him, "and why not?"
"I just declared you as the replacement for Cyrrus Caine," he tossed a badge to Crystl.
Crystl caught and took a look at it, "The hell is this?"
"Cyrrus Crystl the Weaponair, God Slayer," he grinned. "Although a lot of the officials, the masters, and the other major leaders disagree. So if you decide to leave, then I can't give you the protection if they decided to take you on."
Crystl opened and climbed out of the window, "Tell them that I'll be waiting, tell them that I'll slay them if they try doing anything, and tell them that I don't give a damn because I don't care. Anywhere is better than here..."
When he disappeared, Voix felt disbelief as he started to have doubts in his power as the Supreme Being of Death. He then whispered, "How did it end up like this?"
