“I thought you can convince her, I expected too much. Lorelie.”

Lorelie's POV.

“Why am I wrong?!” I lost my temper.

Why is she like this? This is not the Ester I know! Ester was confident in everything she did. She prefers to do it than let anyone do it, cause she knows that she can do the job right

Even though, she lost her memory. Ester will not decline in helping someone.

“The High Beings didn’t curse me, it was me who cursed herself.”

Why are you covering up what the High Beings do to you? They are bad people who are jealous of how powerful you are.

“You wouldn’t do it to yourself, I know you very well.” I’ve been with you for so long, I know you…we always talk to each other and bonding until the sunsets. You told me, you have a lot to do in this world and you even said you will live until the end of it.

“I guess, you don’t because you didn’t know about it.” Why are you lying..?

“I know you’re just making excuses to avoid the training. Why are you lying to me? You somehow different.”

Why aren’t you smiling like you used to be when you are with me? You’re not even hugging and calling me, My dear Lorelie.

“Then, let me ask you, where were you when I locked myself?”

“I–…” I…I didn’t do anything…I left you alone struggling. I was nowhere near you.

“I still don’t know the reason why I cursed myself but from what I heard from Rom, I think she is sad and tired of killing cause all her life she’s been fighting and killing anyone who sees her as treat. Maybe, she doesn’t want to kill any more that’s why she cursed herself. And, the last time she killed was made her laugh because after that, will be her rest.”

So, behind your wide smile is the pain that you don’t want me to know.

Ester's POV.

“Calcifer!” so they planned to convince me but it turned around.

“Did that child curse herself?” asked the lady.

“Yes…” so he knows but didn’t tell the lady. Is there a reason why he didn’t tell her?

“If only I noticed and not waited for her to come out. I could have prevented it.”

“No, even you comforted her…it will not change anything. If she didn’t curse herself, the High Beings will do the job.”

Right, the High Beings were too jealous of the Witch to the point they wanted the people to forget about her.

Just right now, I remembered something.

“Calcifer, what is Ester Winch? I heard you said it just a week ago when we were with Shoes.” Before he said, ‘Save the world’ phrase, he was saying something but I can’t understand the words.

His eyes widened.

Huh? Did I say something wrong? Is Ester Winch a bad word?

“It’s your name, my child.” The lady.

Hah? So, the Witch's name is Ester Winch. That makes sense! The night with Shoes, Calcifer was saying, ‘Your name is Ester Winch.’ That must be it.

Wait! Isn’t prohibited to say my name? But why is Calcifer able to say it. Maybe, he doesn’t care about the curse.

“Yo! After I wake up, Shoes is already gone to where I have last seen him.”

“Oh right! We didn’t finish our conversation about this Shoes guy you are talking about.” He left when Rem & Rom came into the room that time.

“The Shoes guy is Asmodeus Demetrius.” Hah? Isn’t that the Great Grandfather of Rem and Rom? So, she’s been the one taking care of me.

“That guy died hundred years ago.” Something break within me when I heard what he said. He died…? What’s up with this a hundred years ago? I just saw him a week ago.

“What do you mean hundred years ago? Are you saying that the one been taking care of me is a ghost?” My hands are trembling…He’s about to say something that I don’t want to know.

So, the reason that after I woke up, the body is not already there because there’s actually no body?

“Do you know why Rom and Rem were able to break your curse?” what’s the connection with my curse?
