Chapter 4- Bad News

With just a push, I was able to make him confess.

“Do you see that man behind the driver?” so, it’s not the driver after all. If it’s him, I will surely make that bus flies and pointed the blame at him.

“Yes, I see him.”

A man in his 40s, wearing alike rag shirt, is the one that made Holly tremble in fear.

“That man flipped Holly’s skirt and shouted ‘pink’ when we were about to get off the bus.”Hal continued.

“Thank you for telling me. Now, hide behind that platform.” I ordered and they followed.

The Bus’s door was about to close when I stop it, I got in.

“Don’t close it yet.”I instructed.

I am now standing in front of that man–Hal was talking about.

I position myself.

I may look weird right now but I can’t forgive him.

The man looked at me weirdly; and I was glaring at him.

I made a fist and brace myself.

For a man like him, all he needs is a smack right in his face.

His face recedes and his face turned red from the pain.

“D-Damn you!”

I’ll stop if I see any blood on your face.

Right now, he’s blocking his face with his hand. This is not enough, you should be grateful that I gave you mercy.

I looked up and, I can see the shock and confusion from other passengers.

Before he recovers, I thank the driver for not closing up the door, even he was shocked. Then, I go out and hide.

The bus is leaving. Thankfully, that man didn’t chase after me.

I reveal myself from my hiding spot and go to the twin. They were still hiding and when they see me, they immediately came at me.

“I didn’t know that you can do that!” Holly that was just trembling a while ago, is grinning right now.

What he did to Holly is unforgivable, he shouldn’t do that to any person.

“I thought you were a hero just for a moment.” Hal.

“Aren’t I amazing?”I boastfully said.

“Yes!”Holly and Hal.

“Praise me!”

“You were amazing!”

“More!”

It suddenly got quiet.

Huh? Why aren’t they praising me anymore?

Oh, they are already at the bus stop. They left me hanging huhu!

The bus arrived with a different driver and the malicious man is nowhere to be found.

And this time, I was with them on the bus. I dropped them in school and the Twin hold hands when going in.

I visited mother. I brought her my home-cooked food, I told her what happened this morning and she got mad that I ‘teisho’ a man and the twin leaving alone in the bus.

She was worried that maybe the man will avenge himself and thus hurt us.

But, I told her not to worry as long as I killed him first.

She is not happy with my answer, hence she kept on smacking my shoulder with the hospital’s slipper.

She calmed down when I let her see a pic of the twin holding hands whereas I secretly took it.

Her face brightens, since the twin is still in their 10s, they are not allowed to visit the hospital… so mother has rarely seen the twin.

After a short visit, I went to work.

I also visited the Eden Café to look for the Man but he’s not there also.

Time passed. It’s already evening. I went home, the twin is already at home, I cooked dinner, after that–the twin is brushing their teeth then went to bed.

I fix my bed–then my phone flash indicating that someone just messages me.

It was Janice.

‘Hey, just finished reading!’

‘Really? How do you feel?’ I texted back.

‘I feel distraught! I still can’t believe how selfish the Devil Lord is! First, I ship him with the MC but he’s a bastard! So! I ended up shipping him with the King, and I am still laughing at how silly the duke is! And also, the Knight! I like him but he doesn’t have any bed scene with the MC so I’m still shipping him with the King.’

Janice is such a chatterbox.

‘I feel the same! But why does the MC have to choose? Can’t he just have him all! Hot & Spicy snack, all day and all night!’

‘No, he can’t. It will cause him hemorrhoids.’

‘You know he can heal, right?’

‘Change topic! I want to isekai real bad in BL world and be oxygen so that I can audience the miracle they are doing! I hope me and God are buddy-buddy so that he will let me regress from another world.’

‘Stop! Don’t start with it. I don’t want to hear it!’

‘What?! You still believe in those sayings?’

‘Those sayings are facts!’

‘You’re crazy! You denied isekai and trusted those unrelated sayings! And how peculiar, you did this just because you wanted to isekai still it’s not gonna happen since the only fact here is the more you believe the higher possibility you achieved it.’

‘No! You must ‘Play hard to get.’’

‘I disagree! It should be, ‘The more you believe the higher possibility you achieved it.’!’

‘Stop. I don’t want to argue. I have an exam tomorrow. See ya non-believer!’

‘I hope you fail.’

‘You have no support!’

I keep on wheezing while chatting with Janice. In spite of, loving the same things–we have totally opposite logic when it comes to isekai.

It took a while, chatting with Janice to the point that I keep on yawning. I’m off to bed, gonna wake up early tomorrow.

The following day, I did what I did yesterday, prepares the twin for school then take them to School but the difference is Tate is the one taking them to School cause after the incident, I don’t think is good for them to take the bus.

Again, every morning–I visited Mom in the hospital. I feed her the home-cooked food that I made and talk to her like ask how her day was, are they providing her needs, does she take her medicine timely and how is the pain…is she feeling alright? straightforward

After this talking, I have to go to work…but before that–

“How is she?”

“I am afraid that the news is not good.” the doctor admitted, “She’s getting worst, if this keeps on…it will be life-threatening.”

Every time I visited Mom, I always keep myself updated on how is her condition.

“What should I do?”

“You have to prepare yourself especially this diseases that your mother has is rare.”

Then the doctor left.

How unlucky.

I sat down in the nearby seat and cover my face with my hands.

Why? Why does it have to be her? How can I tell this to the twin? Where do I get a big amount of money for the operation? What should I do?

“Ehem.”

I was taken aback in my thinking.

“Are you sure you're going to wear it like that?” I was confused about what Karen meant, then she pointed out the apron that I'm wearing upside down.

“Oh!” It will be embarrassing if someone except Karen will see me like this.

By the way, I just arrived at work and today–I'll be working in Eden Café.

I fixed my apron and later on, I continue with my work.

“Hey, How long are you going to keep starting?” I was stunned when Karen’s face was just a few centimeters away from me.

She retreats and stood in front of me with arms akimbo, frowning at me.

“I haven't seen you smile since you came in and you've been staring at nowhere so many times. Is something wrong?”

“Staring? I'm not starting at all and I'm smiling. Look.” I plaster a big smile on my face and Karen just glare at me.

“Your forehead is smiling haha!” I tried to joke but still, her glare is worst than before.

“I know you are hiding something.”

Ahh…I can't tell her! If I do, in no second thought, she will lend her help. It's not that I don't want it but she's been helping us to the point…there’s no left for her family. So I, refuse to let her know anything. I have to get out of this situation.

“H-hello?” that voice?! It's the man! Perfect timing Fudanshi-san!

“Fuda-san! It's great to see you!”

Karen stops glaring at me and averts her eyes to Fuda-san with a smile like what she shows to every customer.

“Welcome to Eden Café!” Karen greets.

“Thank you.”
