The next day, Magnolia woke up and got ready to go to the tavern. Once there she greeted the locals sitting down. Having a good time talking amongst one another. Magnolia heard rumors about some pirates coming to dock. Apparently, some pirates hired by someone in the Imperial Court. She tensed a bit at that news. She didn't exactly know why she felt this fear. She hasn't felt like this in years. Realization hit her as to why she felt like hiding in a deep hole somewhere. She was being watched. It felt like she was being hunted down. 'If I can get through today. I can go home. Where it's safe' Magnolia thought to herself. That was all she wanted. Was to be safe. Just somewhere to call home. She had that here. For once she had a place to call home. But if she's the one these pirates are after...then she'll loose that. Magnolia didn't want to lose that. She was so lost in her thoughts, that she didn't hear the door open. The only thing that caught her attention was the fact that it went deadly quiet way too fast. Looking up she saw a group of people entering. One of the locals yelled at them. "Your kind ain't welcome here." He barked, with a gruff laugh. Magnolia sighed and shook her head. The pirate's paid him no mind and went to a table at the back. One of the men went over to the bar. "Hey whatever beer or ale you have is fine, Miss." He politely told her. She nodded. "What's a pretty girl like you doing here?" He suddenly asked. Magnolia was taken aback by that. But nonetheless she kept a calm demeanor and a steady voice. "It's honest work." She responded, "It was this or work at the brothel." He nodded. She noticed the look he had. Like he was studying her. She thought it odd that he helped her take the drinks to his men. Magnolia noticed that he whispered something to who she believed to be the captain. He nodded and eyed her. All throughout the day Magnolia felt those pirates staring at her. This didn't sit well with her. Something felt deeply off. She felt like they somehow knew who she was. What she was. That frightened her more than anything else. If they did know, then there was no telling what they could do to her. She prayed that they didn't. But she knew that they weren't human themselves. but she had no idea what they were. When it was time to go home, she noticed that they followed. Now this usually was the point in time where a sane person would be freaked out. But not Magnolia. She wasn't afraid of them following her. No, she was afraid of what they would do once they caught her. That is what scared her the most. She didn't want to use her powers for fear of what would happen to her. She decided to turn down what she thought was a side street. But when she got to the end of it...it was a dead end. Groaning in frustration, she quickly turned around. Ready to fight if she has to.
