Chapter 4

"Don't forget, you're taking over the company after this wedding." My father said, as we waited in the church for the love of my life. "You are now tied to that company whether you like it or not." Chester, who I chose as my best man, said. I gave a short laugh, as the song started playing, indicating my bride was entering. She looked perfect in her wedding dress. "f**k! I feel like taking you right here, in this wedding dress." I said, immediately her father handed her to me. "Impatient are we?"she said, giving me a seductive gaze. The priest started off with his speech on marriage and the beautiful things in marriage, and bla bla bla. "You look beautiful." I told her, and I could see a blush creeping up on her face. "You look dashing. Like the prince charming I've been waiting for. And I really can't wait to ride your horse." She said, giving me a lustful gaze. "You'd better stop, before you give me a b***r in front of our guests." I told her, staring at her lips. They looked so inviting. "Can you two concentrate, you can eat her up after the wedding." The priest said to us, and the whole church gave a short laughter. We said nothing more, and just stared into each other's eyes. Soon, we exchanged vows and rings. "If there's any one in this congregation, who is against this holy matrimony, speak now or forever remain silent." The priest declared, the guests turning their heads to see if there's anyone that would stand up. I and Darcy also turned our heads, and some rose from the back. I looked at Darcy, and like me she had a frown on her face. Slowly, the woman unveiled herself, and it was no other person than Alba! What is she doing here? "What? You think you can have a peaceful marriage after throwing me in jail?" She asked, as she slowly appproaced us. "What are you doing here?" I asked through gritted teeth. Darcy held on to my hands, aware of how dangerous this woman can be. "I came to pay a little homage to you and your bitch." She said in a sick smile. If she weren't a lady, my fist would have connected to her jaw by now. "You're supposed to be in jail." Darcy said, staring at her with hard eyes. "Well surprise! Bitch." She said, holding a smirk. "Alba, you shouldn't be here. You don't always have to be like this." Chester who had been watching the whole exchange finally butt in. "I don't see where I mentioned your name in all of this." She replied to him, disgust etched into the lines of her face. "Now listen. This marriage, between you two, would never be peaceful. I'll make sure to hunt you for the rest of my life." She said, looking between the both of us. "If I can't have him, then no one can." She said again. "Bye baby" Alba finally turned around, blowing me a kiss afterwards. She ought to be in jail, not roaming the earth free. I sent my guards after her, and instructed them to catch her no matter what. Seeing the command I gave to my guards, she quickly fled the arena. My dad came around, his phone in his ear. "Yes…she just left here now. Thank you." He said to whoever was on the other line, after giving them the address of the church. "That was the cops. There was a jail break, and 2 inmates went missing." He said. "She broke out of jail?" Darcy asked in alarm. "She's more dangerous than we thought." Travis chipped in. He had walked towards us a few minutes ago, holding Sam in his hand. "I just hope the police are able to catch her." Darcy said. The wedding venue was in chaos. I gritted my teeth in anger, because that b***h had ruined my wedding. "Where's chester?" Laia asked, noticing he was no longer in the venue with us. "He was here just a few minutes ago." I said, using my eyes to search around for him, but I didn't see him. We went ahead to complete the wedding, admit the chaos and Chester's absence. "I feel uneasy about this whole situation." Darcy said, after the church rites. "I do too, Alba is crazy dangerous. I never thought she'll break out of jail." I said, holding her in a hug. "What if she remains true to her words? What if she comes back?" She said, worry designing the lines of her face. "Look at me…"I said to her, as I brought her face to look into mine. "As long as I still breathe the same air that you do, and I am still alive, I wouldn't let Alba's hair come six feet close to you, okay?" I said to her, in a reassuring voice. She just nodded, as I gave her a quick kiss on the lips. "Don't you think we have a reception to hold?" I asked her, giving her a gentle smile. She wanted to protest, but I didn't let her. "We aren't going to let one jealous woman ruin our big day. We are going to have that reception, and we'll let the police do their job." I said. "Okay." She gave a short reply as we went out of the church. I came across my guards, and they told me they couldn't find her. I didn't let Darcy know, so as not to give her unease. We proceeded to the reception venue, the tension of Alba's visit barely in the air. Chester was still nowhere to be seen, so decided to call his phone. I called about 3 times, but he didn't pick up. "Can you try Chester's phone? He just dissapeared, and I'm yet to see him." I said to Travis, after I approached him. "He's not picking up" Travis said, after calling his phone twice. "Where the hell is he?" I threw the question to no one in particular, as my brows creased in both worry and confusion.
