The Wonders of Paris

Lula I'm so tired. I have been doing all the work in my wedding prep, and now my boss gave me more work. Great. I heard a knock on my door. "Lu, Joseph called you in his office. He seem mad? Anyway, don't trigger him any more, or he will start yelling again." Jaela said annoyingly to me. As if I want him triggered as much as her. God, what does he want this time? Come on, he just gave me those additional paperwork. I went out of my office, and walked towards the opaque door that divides his office from the rest of the floor. My heels were clicking on the floor, at the same time my heart started to beat nervously. As soon as I opened the door, papers came flying to my face. WHAT THE HECK?! "You b***h! I told you to finish those paperworks by today, didn't I?! How come you haven't started yet?! The higher-ups are already waiting for my report, you w***e!" Oh, did I forget to mention that he pours all his work on me, and expects me to finish my and his work on time? Great. It's okay, Lula. You just have to be patient, tune him out. You will be promoted soon, just suck it up. As if the papers weren't enough, Joseph started to throw me pens, and other sharp things. If you don't know any better, the sound coming from this office make it seem that a fight is arising. But that ain't wrong, if this doesn't stop, I am f*****g done. I was taken aback when he rose up, and walked towards me along with a hostile aura surrounding me. Oh no. Is he gonna kill me? I started to shake in fear, with each step he takes, I feel like I'm at death's hands. He is continuously swearing as he marches towards me. My fight or flight reaction was triggered, and I instantly pushed him hard when he got close, but he was stronger. He grabbed my face and squeezed it hard. "I can't breath, Joseph. This is f*****g assault!" As I desperately tries to reach for his conscience. "You f*****g w***e! You have no right to talk back to me!" And I felt a hard slap to my face. I flew to that opaque door that I went through before, and hit my head against it. Everything went blank. I felt a skull-crushing pain in my head before I decided to open my eyes. The light blinded my eyes before it fully adjusted to the well-lit room with four white walls around it. Where am I? "Good evening, Miss Hernandez. I am doctor Paguio, and I will be your doctor." What? Oh God. I remember everything. Before I start crying, my fiance walks up to me with a very angry face. Is he worried? I tried to hug him but he pushed me. "Lula, what the hell is wrong with you?!" Huh? "What? I don't know, I just woke up, Rick." He pushed me back while I was trying to go for a hug. "You assaulted your boss, and now you are trying to look innocent? Come on, Lu." What the hell? Before I can say anything, he walked out of my room. Why is everything escalating so fast? What is happening? I decided to go after my fiance and explain my side to him. I thought he would side with me, I'm his fiance. But as I went out, I was shocked with what I saw. Along with the shivers I got from walking in the hospital with only a hospital gown, I also got chills when I saw my fiance. Making. Out. With. My. Boss. At that moment, my mind went blank, and I ran. I ran. And ran. And ran. And ran and ran and ran and ran and ran and ran and ran. Until I was numb. What the hell happened? What? I realized I am in some kind of gas station, which is far from the hospital. I ran that far, huh? Thank god this is near my home, or atleast used to be. When I got in the house, I packed my documents, files, some of my stuff, and left. I am done. I'm done being a slave. I deserve more. I quit. I got in my car, and I drove to the airport. Adios, motherfuckers! I am going to Paris!
