Elliot Pride swelled in my chest as I listened in the dark, my body floating almost invisibly in the dark water. I had been about to call out to her when she answered the call but had closed my mouth when she had said his name. Carl. I was beginning to really hate that guy. Still, even though I could tell she was crying I was proud when she told him not to call her anymore.
