Riley I needed this. Deserved it. In true Eve style she had arranged it all, from the upscale lakeside house, to the food and the alcohol that was flowing. The party was buzzing. Music blared from hidden speakers and people milled about , an ever constant flow from the large open plan house to the deck that was strung with lights . Eve had outdone herself.  My congratulation party. Her way of saying well done for me landing the job of my dreams. And yet I didn’t really know anyone here. These were Eves’s friends.  Not mine.
