Emilie paused, took a deep breath and turned to face Jonathan “Today, we met for lunch and I noticed that she was not her usual self, Emilie continued, “She was a bit withdrawn but I kinda brushed it off as ‘just one of those days’. We were talking about nothing in particular and then we started talking about how small our social circle is and I mentioned how ideal an environment for rumour-mongering such a circle becomes. I then told her about the rumour I had heard without saying where I had heard it. Her demeanour immediately changed, but that was expected because what was going around was a horrible thing to spread.
