Letisha's POV
I leaned against the door of the shower stall as panic beset me. I hated the dark. It was one of the few things I couldn't conquer my fear of.
All because of that night…
“Let's calm down, Leti," I whispered aloud to myself while my hand fumbled for the shower door handle. “It's probably just a power outage. It'll be back up soon."
I continued speaking aloud, hoping it would calm some of my fears. I sighed in relief as my hand finally latched onto the handle, and I slid the door open and stepped out.
My relief was short-lived, however. The moment I stepped out, I lost my balance on the slippery floor and went tumbling down.
I screamed as I sought for purchase but I couldn't grab hold of anything in time and I landed painfully on my butt.
