REVENGEE

CHAPTER SEVEN

Annabelle was looking at her phone. Max was just staring at her in a way no one could notice. She looked so familiar but he couldn't just tell where he had seen her. He then said, "Hey, I'm Max."

Annabelle didn't want to have the conversation and she said, "I'm Annabelle."

Max continued, 'Have we met? Maybe somewhere..?"

Annabelle paused and looked at him slowly, she didn't want him to recognize her though, she shook her head, "I don't think so, I just moved to town."

Max nodded, "Well, I guess I'm wrong then…..um…..let's go to the cafeteria."

Annabelle shook her head, she was already tired of the conversation, "You don't have to worry, I'm not hungry."

Max smiled, "It's okay not to be hungry but I insist. You know, this is a way of getting to know each other and showing you around the school."

Annabelle sighed saying, "Listen, I do not want to go anywhere okay. Just let me be." Max was about to talk when Michelle came to sit on Annabelle's table. She looked at Max, "Hey, I'm Michelle." Max shook her hand saying, "I'm Max."

Michelle nodded looking at Annabelle, "Pretty cool name Max." She continued, "So what's the problem? I noticed you trying to talk to my sister, but it seems she's not listening to you or not agreeing with what you are saying, tell me Max, what's the problem?"

Annabelle asked immediately, "Really? Really Michelle? You came all the way from your seat just to know what we are talking about?"

Michelle looked at Max, "Come on Max, talk to me."

Max answered, "Oh that, I just wanted to show her around the whole school."

Michelle gasped, "Oh wow, that's so sweet of you to do." She looked at Annabelle, "Really Annabelle, you are really going to turn this down."

Annabelle answered, "Go to your seat Michelle and stop watching me."

Michelle whispered to her, "Listen Annabelle, I'm trying to make something out of this okay, just go with him, I promise I will explain it to you."

Annabelle groaned and Michelle smiled, "She's going with you Max." She winked at him and went to her seat.

Max tapped Bob and he, along with Annabelle left the class.

Michelle smirked as they left and turned her direction to Charlie, she wanted to know if there would be any reaction or not. Immediately Charlie stood up angrily and left the class. Kara stood up immediately with Olivia following behind. Michelle nodded and smiled as she took something down in her notepad. Alexa noticed what she was doing and Michelle turned to her asking, "Hey Alexa, can you take me to the computer laboratory. I need to use my laptop." Alexa nodded and they left the class through the back door.

Kara grabbed Charlie's hand immediately stopping her. Charlie yelled, "Let go of me!"

Kara stopped in front of her, "What the hell is wrong with you Charlie?! What the hell is the problem?!"

Charlie sighed, "I'm sorry for yelling at you Kara, I'm not just in a good mood."

Kara rolled her eyes, "Because of those new kids, how Michelle stopped you from slapping Annabelle or how Annabelle went out with Max and not you?"

"You're not helping Kara, but it's the truth." She leaned her back against the wall, "I really don't get it…..I just want to be with Max." She turned to Olivia immediately, "Olivia, you have to help me….please."

Olivia smiled, "Listen Charlie, I would help you. Well I'm always helping you, but I want to help you on one condition."

Charlie wondered why Olivia added a condition and asked, "What's the condition?"

"I want you to add me to your VIP list for your party this year."

Charlie laughed, "Oh really Olivia, that was the condition? Of course I'll add you. You deserve it."

Olivia touched her, "Then it's settled. Catch you guys later!" And she left.

Kara asked, "Are you really going to put her on your list this year?"

Charlie scoffed, "Her? Of course not. I might just consider it, but if she isn't qualified, I won't put her in it."

Kara nudged her, "You snake, come on, let's go have lunch." They both laughed and went to the cafeteria.

Max picked a table for them at the cafeteria and they sat down. She wasn't really comfortable and she was also angry at Michelle for making this happen. She sat down and Max sat beside her, while Bob sat in front of them. Max stood up and came back some minutes later with a bowl of apples. He placed it on the table saying, "I got this for you Annabelle."

Annabelle looked at him saying, "It's not really necessary but thank you."

Max smiled at her while she looked at the apples and was about to talk when Olivia sat on their table, "Hey Annabelle."

Annabelle looked at her immediately and asked, "I'm sorry, do I know you?"

Olivia chuckled, "Of course, my brother hasn't introduced me. Anyway, I'm Olivia, Max's twin."

Annabelle looked at Max and back at Olivia, "Wow, really? You guys are twins. I'm so surprised."

Olivia looked at Max, "Come on Max, tell her. You are not supposed to hide anything."

Max was already getting pissed, Olivia was ruining his moment with Annabelle. He asked angrily, "What are you doing here Olivia? What exactly do you want?"

Olivia rolled her eyes, "It's pretty obvious Max, I'm just trying to make a new friend." She turned to Annabelle and whispered, "You see, that's how he fights me all the time."

Annabelle laughed a bit, "Sometimes, Michelle can be that way too. I understand you Olivia."

Olivia snapped her fingers, "See Max, she gets it." Max frowned at her and Olivia touched Annabelle's shoulder, "Listen Annabelle, I love your hair, I love your outfit, I love your beauty….and not to talk about your car. You know what, I would love to go out with you sometime."

Annabelle smiled and Olivia said, "Well, I got to go now before someone swallows me. Bye." Then she ran off. Annabelle laughed, facing Max, "I never knew Olivia was your sister, like I never imagined you having a twin."

Max was staring at her, he didn't even hear what she said, Bob noticed and threw an apple at him. Max looked at him, "Hey, what was that for?"

Bob answered, "Well, she said something and you went blank, staring at her."

Annabelle took one apple, "I appreciate you trying to show me around and for the little company we had, but I need to go now." Max held her hand immediately and she looked at him. He noticed her reaction and freed her hand immediately. "I'm sorry." Annabelle said and she left.

Max sighed and Bob sat beside him, "Listen Max, I'm your best friend, tell me, what's the problem?"

Max answered, "I really don't know Bob, but I think I like this girl. I really like her."

Bob paused and continued, "Okay, let me get this straight. Are you developing feelings for her?"

Max nodded, "But I wouldn't call it feelings yet, considering I just met her, but yes Bob, I am developing feelings for her."

Bob whooped, "Woo! Wow Max! This is so amazing and at the same time surprising. You never like anyone, not even Charlie and you are in love with Annabelle….the new girl?"

Max shushed him, "Hey, keep it down okay…...I need to apologize for staring at her. I have to go now."

Bob nodded and he left.

Annabelle found her way to the library using the school map. She wanted a place to be alone and listen to music. She loved music a lot, she believes music is a reflection of anything. She gets really lost in music and whenever she listens to one, she pours all her soul and mind into it. "Music cures and solves all.", as she always says.

She decided to look for a book on the shelf. She went over to the shelf and was looking for just any random book when she felt a warm breath behind her. She turned around slowly and saw a guy. He is an athletic figure, he had perfectly gelled black hair. His eyes were deep blue and his face was generic. He has a generic/athletic figure as well. His skin was so smooth and his scent was of lavender. He was wearing a black fitted T-Shirt that showed his well developed abs, with a black leather jacket and black ripped jeans with a black sneakers. He was wearing a silver chain as well.

Annabelle swallowed hard, she was lost in his black outfit and his beauty. She cleared her throat, "Can I help you?"

The guy moved closer, almost pressing her to the shelf, "My name's Jace and you must be Annabelle."

Annabelle nodded, "Yes, I'm Annabelle. Nice to meet you." She managed to slip out under him and said, "I'll be heading out now, excuse me."

Jace grabbed her hand saying, "Wait, do not go yet…..I want to show you around."

Annabelle smiled as she removed her hand from his, "You don't have to worry about that, I can handle it myself. Besides, I've got the school map."

Jace gave a hot smile, "Oh Anna, you really shouldn't depend on that school map, you can actually get confused. Let me show you instead."

Annabelle looked at him, " Wow, you called me Anna."

Jace shrugged, "Is there a problem with that?"

Annabelle shook her head, "No, there's no problem with that. It's just that it's only my elder sister that calls me that."

Jace stretched forth his hand and asked, "So Anna, are we doing this or not?"

Annabelle looked at his hand, then back at him and smiled, "Yes, let's go." She took his hand and he led her out of the library.

Alexa was looking at Michelle as she was using her laptop in the computer laboratory. Michelle hadn't gotten her eyes off the screen for over thirty minutes and her fingers were scrambling round the keyboard, she has never seen someone so serious with using the laptop, other than herself. All of a sudden, Michelle paused, looked at her and asked, "Can I help you? Noticed you have been looking at me."

Alexa smiled, "Well, I just can't help it. I mean you've been on the system for over thirty minutes and your eyes haven't left it. You know what, you are just like me and I admire you."

Michelle laughed, "I take everything I do seriously." Then she continued, "Alexa, I noticed something earlier in class. Does Charlie like Max?"

Alexa smirked, "That one, of course she does, since kindergarten."

"Really? Since kindergarten?! That's a long time." Michelle said.

Alexa nodded, "Yeah, and she's not willing to give up even if Max has made it obvious to her that he doesn't want her. She's so desperate."

Michelle nodded, "It's quite obvious you don't like her."

Alexa scoffed, "Oh please, Charlie is not human. I mean, look at what she did today, wanting to slap Annabelle on her first day, cause she's sitting with Max….that's so low."

Michelle nodded and snapped her fingers, "I've got the perfect idea. Charlie won't know what hit her. No one messes with my sister and gets away with it."

Alexa clapped her hands, "You know what Michelle, whatever you are planning, I'm in."

Michelle fist-bumped her and asked, "You've been in this school way longer than I have, any ideas?"

Alexa thought for a while and said, "Charlie loves throwing and hosting parties at her house, that's what made her so popular in school. So, maybe if you throw a party at your house, her popularity will drop…..only if your party is way dope."

Michelle nodded, "Of course I know how to throw a big party. That's just what I need. Thanks Alexa."

Alexa smiled, "Come on partner, let's go and have lunch." Michelle closed her laptop and they left the laboratory.

They got to the cafeteria and Alexa spotted Charlie immediately. She nudged Michelle saying, "There she is."

Michelle asked, "Is it bad if I want to cause a scene here? You know, like spilling something on her?" Alexa laughed and said, "Oh girl, I love you." Alexa ordered a glass of ice tea, gave it to Michelle saying, "I know you can handle this."

Michelle nodded and headed to Charlie's table. Charlie was sitting with Kara, Olivia and some other cheerleaders and jocks. Michelle pretended to fall and spilled the whole glass of ice tea on Charlie. Charlie screamed because it was so cold, drawing the attention of so many students and stood up. She turned to see who it was. It was Michelle. She yelled, "What do you think you are doing?!"

Michelle laughed out, "Oh my God Charlie, it was an accident. You look so messy."

Kara stood up and moved in front of Michelle frowning, "You think this is funny? Apologize to her now."

Michelle looked at Kara and scoffed, "Excuse me?"

Kara frowned, "You called it an accident which I know it's not true. Apologize to her. Now!!"

Alexa cut in from behind as she walked towards them, "Hey listen, calm down. I see no reason why she should apologize anyway, I mean it was an accident, come on Kara, you don't have to be bitchy to the new girl." She touched Michelle, "Come on Michelle, let me take you to class." They left laughing silently. Michelle said, "You should have seen her face."

Charlie yelled, "That b***h!! Ugh!! She is really getting on my nerves!!" She looked at other students looking at her and yelled, "What are you all looking at?!! Get out of here!!"

Kara touched her, "Come on Charlie, that's enough, let's get you cleaned up." Olivia stood up, "Let me come with you."

Kara stopped her saying, "No Olivia, three is a crowd. Let's go Charlie." Then she led Charlie out of the cafeteria.
