REVENGEE

CHAPTER THREE

The girl Charlie pushed to the ground blared the horn of the car loudly and the gate automatically opened itself and she drove in. She came down very angry that she didn't hear the housekeeper greeting her. She walked into the house and into the living room and flinged her bag angrily into the air hitting her twin sister, Michelle.

Michelle, who was sitting down watching a movie, had something hit her head and yelled, "Ow!"

The girl whose name was Annabelle didn't seem to hear when Michelle yelled and her other sister, Marie tapped her, "Annabelle are you okay? You look lost." 

Annabelle sat on the high chair at the bar and said, "I'm just a little pissed. Someone got me angry while I was on my way home."

Michelle came to meet her angrily holding an ice pack on her head, "Then maybe you should not pass any of your anger on anyone…..now look, I have a swollen forehead!!"

Marie laughed, "Come on Michelle, you don't need to exaggerate, it's just a little swell."

Michelle scoffed, "Little swell my foot!" She rolled her eyes and went back to what she was doing. 

Maddy, their other sister came in with her laptop and asked, "What's the fight about?"

Michelle stood up, "Someone pissed Annabelle while she was coming home and she passed the aggression on me especially because her bag which she flinged hit me."

Maddy went to Annabelle asking, "Are you okay?!"

Michelle sat down yelling, "Fine...everyone should ignore a girl with the swollen forehead and attend to the one whose head is perfect." Then she faced her movie.

Annabelle smiled at Marie and Maddy saying, "It's fine guys….why don't you attend to Michelle while I go change."

Marie nodded, "I'll come with you, Maddy, go to Michelle." Maddy nodded and went to meet Michelle as Marie followed Annabelle to her room. 

Michelle looked at Maddy as she sat and said, "Finally, one of you notices me."

Maddy nudged her playfully and said, "You of all people should understand what is going on Michelle. You know Annabelle isn't cool with new schools and she's about to enter one."

Michelle sighed, "Well, what are we supposed to do? Mom and Dad are really really busy and it's not really their fault, but still their fault we keep moving up and down. I just hope she understands."

Maddy opened her laptop and said, "You know, both of you are strong girls and I love that about you. Very soon, I and Marie would be out of here building our own families...it would just be both of you, you need to look out for each other."

Michelle nodded, "Trust me on that Maddy. I am always ready to fight anyone on behalf of Annabelle, but one day she will learn to stand up for herself, I can't keep doing it. Anyways….I'll talk to her."

Maddy patted her hair and said, "Come on, let's watch this movie." Michelle laughed and they continued their movie."

Annabelle removed her shoes, necklace and earrings when she got to her room. Her room was very big. It could be considered bigger than a middle person's house. She had a large chandelier and plain black sheets. Everything about her was black except the painting of her room. She chose black as a colour, not because of what people consider it to be, but because of the beauty in it and how her life reflects. Black majorly signifies sadness,mourning, depression and so on...but that's not it for her. She wasn't depressed or sad, she just loved the colour as it represents her personality as a former Rebel and Goth. 

Marie sat on her bed asking, "Anna, are you sure you are okay?"

Annabelle sat beside her, "I'm sure Marie. I just want to rest."

Marie placed her hand on her leg and said, "I know you are this way because you will be resuming at a new school next week. I know how much you hate moving and changing schools, but we cannot change the fact that it's like that."

Annabelle sighed, "I understand you trying to make me feel better Marie…..and thank you."

Marie smiled, "You know, I actually thought it was going to affect Michelle and not you. This is weirdly funny."

Annabelle scoffed, "You know how Michelle, she's just excited because she would get to bully new people, be the boss over any popular girl and yes...always make me do her assignments."

Marie laughed, "Oh my...reminds me of when me and Maddy were in school...i really hated going to school with her, but I'm glad we are all fine and when we remember all these, we laugh."

Annabelle laughed saying, "Yeah, true. You know what….I think I'm ready for this school. I am so ready."

Marie gave her a high five, "Yeah, that's my girl!" She hugged her and said, "Now, freshen up before mom comes home, I'll supervise the dinner and guess what...I'm making your favourite rice recipe." Annabelle smiled and said, "Thank you Marie." Marie stood up and left.

Annabelle went to the front of her mirror and her mind flashed back to what happened; how the girl pushed her and how the guy helped her up. She still recognized the guy and will never forget his face, because he was close to her when he helped her up. She quickly snapped out of it and went to take a shower.

Max got home and met Olivia watching a movie in the living room. Tess was already asleep. Olivia stood up immediately and winked at him asking, "How was the date lover boy?"

Max dropped his helmet asking, "You have been here waiting for me to come so you will ask how my date went?"

Olivia answered saying, "Of course! You're my brother."

Max wanted to say how Charlie was rude to the girl they met, but then he remembered stretching out his hand to help her up. He smiled and said, "The date went really well Olivia. It was good…..Goodnight Olivia." Then he went to his room and Olivia shrieked softly and ran to her room to call Charlie. 

Max undressed and went into the shower. As the water rained on him, his mind went back to the girl he helped. He didn't recognize her face because she was wearing black shades. She has a perfect shape and he loved the way she was dressed in all black. He remembered taking her hand in his and how soft her hand was. He sighed and said to himself, "What if I never see her again? I don't even know what she looks like. Help me universe to see this girl again." He got out of the shower and went to sleep.

Charlie came down from the car angrily. She couldn't believe Max helped that girl and scolded her. "I was the one that was almost hurt!" She muttered to herself. She was about to open the door when her phone buzzed. She picked it up immediately thinking it was Max but sighed when she saw it was Olivia. She picked it up, "Hey Olivia."

She heard Olivia shriek from the phone and said, "Guess what! Guess what Charlie!!"

Charlie shook her head, " What is the problem Olivia? I'm just getting in...I'm so tired."

    "Alright….Max just got home and he told me the date was really good. He said he loved it."

Charlie stopped and asked, "Really! He said that?! Oh my God!!"

    "Yes Charlie…..now tell me, did you guys make out?!"

Charlie smiled, "Yes of course we did Olivia….we made out. Oh my, I can't believe Max enjoyed the date…..thank you so much Olivia for setting this up."

  Olivia was expecting her to talk to her about the VIP list for her party but she didn't say anything, instead she said, "I have to go now Olivia...need to freshen up. Bye." She cut the call and went to her room immediately. She knew she would not meet her mother awake because she's a busy person. She went to her room and said, "Here I was thinking the date was a failure. Oh God, Max loved it….Kara...let me call her."

She dialed Kara's number immediately. Kara was with her sister Beth. They were watching a movie and taking ice cream when her phone rang. Beth passed the phone to her and Kara picked up, "Sup Charlie….how was the date?"

Charlie screamed, making Kara jump a bit and she yelled, "What the hell Charlie! You made me jump….are you high or something?"

Charlie twirled, "Oh Kara, I'm high….in love. Max told Olivia he enjoyed our date."

Kara nodded, "Yeah right...of course he has to enjoy it...I mean you killed it and I'm sure you made out right?"

   "Of course we did, Kara. We kissed."

Kara snapped her fingers, "Then it's done...what is left is for you guys to be in a relationship and be most popular in school."

    "Thanks Kara for everything. What would I do without you?"

Kara smiled, "Now go take a shower and have a beautiful sleep, you are just one step to being his girlfriend….goodnight." She cut the call and Beth asked, "Charlie again?"

Kara nodded and Beth said, "It's like she's helpless without you Kara. Her mom even gave you money for being with her….well, if I were you and I have this opportunity, I would scam her and use her well."

Kara glared at her and she said, "Easy Kara...it was just a suggestion. I know she's your best friend….but think about it. I have to sleep now. I'm tired. Goodnight. " She took her ice cream and went to her room, leaving Kara alone.

Charlie took her bath and stood in front of her mirror drying her hair. She couldn't believe Max loved the date. She went to her bed and remembered kissing Max even if he didn't kiss her back. She asked herself, "If Max didn't kiss me back, then why did he tell Olivia the date was really good? Is he messing with me? Well...I hope not. I love you Max." 

Annabelle freshened up and went downstairs. Her mom, Jamilah, was back already. Jamilah hugged her as she saw her and asked, "How are you doing Anna?"

Annabelle smiled, "I'm doing great mom, come on let's go and see what Marie made for dinner."

She held her mom's hand and took her to the dining room. They all sat down and said a word of prayer. Marie asked, "Hey mom, when will dad come home?"

Jamilah smiled, "Your dad would be home soon girls. He is just working so hard."

Michelle looked at Annabelle then at Jamilah, "Mom, are we still going to end up moving from here? It really isn't comfortable."

Jamilah shook her head, "No Michelle….we are not moving anymore. We will be here permanently. I spoke to your dad cause I know it isn't comfortable especially for Annabelle...so we are not moving again."

Annabelle smiled at her mom and mouthed "Thank you." to Michelle. 

Jamilah looked at both of them and asked, "So are you girls ready to go to Adams High?"

Michelle tapped her spoon, "Yes mom! I am so ready to meet new people and play a lot of pranks."

Jamilah laughed and turned to Annabelle, "And you?"

Annabelle smiled softly saying, "Yes mom...I am ready to go to a new school."

Jamilah clapped her hands, "Then it's settled. I'm so glad you girls are ready for this."

Maddy took a picture with her phone saying, "Moments like this need to be recorded."

They all laughed and went to their separate rooms.

Annabelle went to her room. She couldn't stop thinking about the guy she met earlier. She groaned and said to herself, "Why can't I get his face out of my system! This is so annoying!!" Then she fell asleep.
