  Elena’s POV   By the time the door opened again, my argument with Eric was already hanging between us like an unhealed wound. We hadn’t resolved it. We couldn’t. I had only told him one thing, that I would explain everything when the time was right. He hadn’t liked that answer, but he’d finally let it go… for now.   Magmus and Sara walked in, his wounded shoulder tightly bandaged. He looked from me to Eric, clearly already sensing the shift in power.
