Prologue
“No! No! No! Please stop! Don’t hurt me again! Please!” She woke up breathing heavy and in tears while on the forest floor after yet another nightmare. “It was just a dream. Thank god.” She looked around, looks like it’s about 5:30 in the morning she thought to herself. There was a slight, cool breeze that flowed through her hair. She loved the forest, it made her feel at peace, at least when she was awake. Well, I guess I could get up and start moving. The further I get away from this place, the better. She got up, gathered up all of her stuff, and started walking. After thirty minutes of walking she sat down and grabbed some water out of her backpack. Then she heard the sound of rustling leaves and twigs snapping behind her.
How did they find me so fast this time? I need to get moving! She grabbed her backpack and water bottle and took off running as fast as she could. Until she hit something. Or someone… She Stumbled back away from the man she just ran into but he grabbed her arm before she could get away. He pulled out his radio and notified the others. “I got her. We’re about half a mile west from you. We’ll start heading your way now.” “Copy that” she heard the voice on the other side of the radio say. Damn it! I thought I had it this time! The man started leading her by her arm and she pleaded to him “please let me go! I can’t go back there! Please don’t take me back!” “I’m sorry but I have strict orders. Please cooperate.” As they were walking she slowly started to see the police cars and a blue SUV. An SUV she knew all too well..
Sasha’s POV
As he was pulling me towards the other searchers I saw the blue SUV and I knew. I knew they were there.
I didn’t want to face them again. I couldn’t couldn’t go back to them. I would rather die. So I started fighting against the man and I was starting to get loose and he started calling more people over. I was about to be free when two more people came and grabbed me. They started dragging me towards the blue SUV again.
I could now see their faces. The evil behind their masks. “Honey! We were so worried about you!” She said. “We’re so happy you’re back and that you’re safe.” He said.
“Charlene. Henry.” “Honey, you don’t need to call us by our names. We are your parents after all.” She smiled, and everyone there thought they were just parents who love their daughter so much and were worried because she had gone missing, or ran away again. But I see through the sweet, innocent looking smiles, I knew who they really were. I knew how they really were. They were monsters.
