As she stared at the photograph in her hands, she longed to have met the woman in it. Her mother. In the photograph, a young couple in a hospital room cradling their newborn baby, their eyes filled with love. Frankie recognized her father immediately, though younger he hadn't changed much. On the back, written in biro pen, it read "Me, Alistair and Francine". This was her mother. They looked so alike. Her mother's hair was chestnut brown cut into a shoulder-length wavy bob. It was hard to tell in the photo, but Frankie was convinced her eyes were also green. Oh, and she did have dimples, just like Frankie. She was overcome with emotion as she looked at the woman, who would have been around the same age as Frankie was now, maybe a few years older. They could have been the same person. The
