“I’m leaving,” I glanced at my watch. It was almost six o’clock, and I needed to return to the hospital for my medication. Without it, the cancer would flare up, and the bone-deep agony would overwhelm me, likely killing me. “Madam, please don’t go!” John rushed to block my path, his brow furrowed in concern. “Are you really going to divorce Mr. York?
