"Wow, this place is exhilarating, Arden. It’s breathtaking.” The glorifying words left my mouth when my eyes scanned the scenery laid before my eyes, stealing my breath away. I heard him humming in approval behind me, breathing heavily, and so was I, still catching my breath as I felt it run out of me since we had just reached the peak. The heaviness in my heart was lifted away in two shakes of a lamb’s tail, seeing how beautiful the scenery was. Yeah, I had been feeling under the weather since we left the cabin. This morning when Jess and Jacky bid their goodbyes to their men, my heart sank, knowing I’d be left behind again until Rick postulated I could go back.
