Melissa jiggled her leg up and down as she watched the students strolling out of the class after the Marketing lecture had ended. She gathered her things inside her bag and tucked her hair under her maroon scarf simultaneously. She was not ready to face her friend who had stopped talking to her and Melissa felt nervous. She was aware that Veronica was still in her seat even when the students had emptied the whole class and knew that her friend was here to talk.
She wanted to adjust things with Veronica but Melissa felt as if they should take some time apart. All they did was fight and she knew she was the one who initiated it most of the times. Besides last time the way things had ended, Melissa didn't know either she should apologize or Veronica should be the one to take first step.
