Melissa's cheek pressed firmly against the fluffy pillow, her eyes fixed on the cushioned sofa in front of her. The back of her head throbbed like a heartbeat. She could feel her pulse violently pulsating at the back of her head and as the affects of painkiller sedates started fading away, she could feel the pain spreading headache throughout her head as well as nape. She didn't faint due to the shock, yes she had felt weak and dizzy, her feet had swayed but Melissa blacked out due to her head hitting against the glass. Otherwise she would have come back to her senses sooner. And she felt embarrassed that everyone thought she blacked out because she couldn't take some horrible news.
