Desperation

Demi and Carly are high school sweethearts. Demi and Carly are all consumed in each others worlds, so much so that they don't realise they aren't being very good at keeping the secret they both agreed should always be kept.

No one could know that they were together. They live in a small town and the news that its okay to be gay and love is love, hasn't quite filtered down to the little place they call home.

So when their secret is exposed they both know that the only way to survive is to deny their love. So that is what they do. But not before they both make a pact to meet up again when they are both eighteen and no longer living in Backwardville Middle America.

They have plans to meet up in four years time in New York City. The place where a girl can love a girl and no one cares.

Demi spends the four years counting down the seconds until she can be with Carly again. And it all seems to be going as planned until D-Day arrives and she finds Carly in the arms of another.
