Marie: Sanjay, I know I told you I won’t talk to you and you are not my son but I didn’t mean it (then she looked at her watch) it’s almost noon now, we are 2 hours Late on your wedding, Nelly is calling and freaking out, you can’t do this to the girl, you have to....

Sanjay: I am not ready to talk right now, Can you leave me alone, please

“Knock...knock”

Marie: SANJAY YOU CAN’T TALK TO ME FROM BEHIND THE DOOR ENOUGH, I AM YOUR MOTHER (and she tried to open the locked door) open this damn door and talk to me damn it

Sanjay: please, leave me alone

Sonia: calm down, Marie; just talk to him

Marie frowned: Sanjay, I know we forced you on this marriage and we planned the wedding behind your back, but I did this because I love you, you need to move on with someone...

Sanjay: I am not ready to talk right now, Can you leave me alone, please

Marie looked at Sonia and shook her head then held it

Marie: what are we going to do? The girl is in her dress and the guests already arrived to their mansion

Sonia frowned: you should have thought of this before planning the wedding behind his back and confirming to Anthony that he is coming   

Marie: what was I supposed to do? You didn’t hear Anthony’s threats, I had to calm him down beside..

Sanjay: please, leave me alone

Marie: FINE (And she walked away with Sonia) I didn’t think Sanjay will handle saying no to me after I told him he won’t be my son if he didn’t marry Nelly (Then she frowned) no, we have to do something, his father should do something, he can’t leave everything to me (then she looked to Sonia) go see if Viola is ready

Sonia: I...I don’t know what to say, I don’t want to upset you

Marie frowned: No, upset me more, please

Sonia: Viola went to stay with Eve for couple of weeks, she is not going to attend the wedding

Marie angrily: why should I care, Sonia; the groom himself won’t attend the wedding; go make for me a cup of tea

Then she descended the stairs and entered her room and opened it faintly; and Adarsh looked at her as she walking towards him slowly and confused

Adarsh: ...okay, Joseph, when you find anything about her, Call me, thank you

And he ended the call and smiled to Marie..

Marie: what were you calling my brother for, Adarsh?

Adarsh: nothing...it just a friend of mine want to find someone(then he smiled) you look great, sweetie; is there an occasion that I forgot about?

Marie: Adarsh, Sanjay is not talking to me, he is just “saying leave me alone” and” I don’t want to talk”, I don’t know why is he doing this?

Adarsh: that is strange; I thought he will go stay go for a vacation for couple of weeks

Marie frowned: he told me but I prevented him, even if he won’t go to the wedding, he won’t leave me again not even for a couple of weeks, he just came for, god’s sake

Adarsh: what wedding?

Marie: Adarsh please don’t be angry

Adarsh: what wedding, Marie?

Marie: Anthony...he...he threw the wedding anyway, we are two hours Late

Adarsh frowned: I don’t understand why would Anthony threw the wedding although Sanjay said he is not coming?!

Marie swallowed: because  I...I kind of convinced them, that I was able to force Sanjay to come and they should go on with the wedding

Adarsh’s eyes widened: what?!!! (Then he frowned) HOW COULD YOU?

Marie: I...I thought he will, I am sorry, please help me, convince him, Nelly is in her wedding dress and Anthony is calling me screaming and threatening

Adarsh held his head: god, what should I do?

“ Knock..knock”

Marie: come in

Sonia entered and her eyes were shocked and terrified, Marie frowned confused

Marie: what?

Sonia: Mr. Anthony

Anthony: WHERE IS SANJAY, WHERE IS HE?

Marie’s eyes widened and looked at  Adarsh who held his head then swallowed a pill, she held his wrist

Marie: Adarsh, are you okay?

Adarsh: no

Anthony: FROM HERE

Adarsh got out of the room and Marie rushed behind him; only for them to see Anthony and Nelly in her wedding dress standing on the stairs and hear the steps of two heavy men ascending the stairs

Adarsh frowned: WHAT IS GOING ON? ANTHONY WHO ASCENDED THE STAIRS?

Marie’s eyes widened: MY SON

And she ran upstairs as Adarsh ascended couple of steps and stood in front of Nelly and Anthony

Nelly with teary eyes: uncle Adarsh, Sanjay has to come to the wedding, I can’t be humiliated like that

Anthony strictly: no one dares to humiliate you, Nelly; calm down honey

Adarsh frowned: what are you doing? You can’t enter my house like that, who do you think yourself are?

Anthony frowned: I know exactly who I am Adarsh, but do you know who your son is? Your son is the man who broke my girl’s heart while she is wearing her wedding dress and caused us a great scandal and if he didn’t come with me this moment and Married Nelly, I will ruin his life

Adarsh: be careful Anthony, we don’t have security anymore it’s true but I can call the police and they will...

But he didn’t complete his sentence hearing louds thuds and Marie screaming “ stop”, Adarsh’s eyes widened as Anthony looked at him a challenging look then took Nelly in his arm and followed his men

Adarsh: ANTHONY YOU COWARD

And he tried to ascend the stairs fast but he could only take it a step in a time as his headache was so severe and his legs felt so heavy and when he reached, the men succeeded in breaking Sanjay’s door

Adarsh frowned: A...Anthony (then he took his breath) If you touched my son, you... will be sorry

The door opened a storm like, and they all entered but they were shocked to find no one

Anthony: SANJAY, SANJAY COME OUT HERE YOU BASTARD

“ I am not ready to talk right now, Can you leave me alone, please”

They looked towards the open laptop with an audio track playing repeatedly, that is where Sanjay’s voice was coming, and it was saying two sentences over and over, Marie and Anthony looked at Adarsh shocked but he couldn’t return the look and stop himself from smiling

Marie: oh no, he fooled us with a recorded track and ran away, Adarsh

Nelly: daddy!

And she cried on Anthony’s chest, Anthony frowned angrily, looked at Adarsh and nodded

Anthony: your son ran away now Adarsh but not for long, I am going to find him even if he is at the end of the world and he will pay dearly for this

9 hours Later

In Madrid

“Welcome to Madrid’s airport, local time 4:31pm, temp is 6C 43F, for your safety please remain seated with the safety belt fastened till the belt open automatically....”

Sanjay looked at flight attendant with wide smile, then he looked through the airplane’s window and the moment his belt unfastened, he jumped off his chair and opened the carry on compartment and took his bag and was about to go to the exit door but...

Viola: excuse me, excuse me, Sanju hi, you are on this flight?

( Sanjay’s eyes widened seeing Viola walking towards him, hitting in the passenger shoulders till she reached him)

Sanjay: I missed the flight before this but Why are you here?!!!

Viola: how can you ask that, Sanju? (and she put her hand on his shoulder) you are my baby brother, I have to be with you and watch you being humiliated and scolded from my best friend

Sanjay frowned and pushed her hand away

Sanjay: how you afforded another ticket? I thought you spent all your savings on my ticket

Viola smiled: yes, so I spent your savings, I have to say you saved so smartly, it was enough for a first class ticket and this beautiful dress, do you like it?

Sanjay’s eyes widened: you gifted me a third class ticket and flied on the first class?

Viola’s smile lessened: yes!

Sanjay covered his lips and shook his head in disbelief then he nodded

The flight attendant : sir, Ma’am to the exit please

Sanjay: yes, thank you (then he held Viola’s arms) come Viola

And he walked with her towards the exit of the plane

Viola smiled widely: did you enjoy your flight Sanju? Did they give you champagne?

Sanjay frowned: no, a juice box

Viola smiled awkwardly: yummy!

They got off the plane and it took them an hour to finish the procedures needed before exiting the airport, it felt to Sanjay years not Just 60 minutes, he couldn’t wait to run to Hira’s address and see her but the moment he stepped out of the airport, the cold weather hit his arm and the fear hit his chest

Viola: ...and Marie kept fighting with you recorded voice for half an hour!! (then she chuckled) I can’t believe this trick still works on Marie, you are doing this trick since you were 11

Sanjay: does she have any Idea I am coming?

Viola: Hira? no, I told my mother to not even tell her I am coming, I want to surprise her

Sanjay: that is a great mistake Viola, we should have told her, it will be very shocking to her and Hira is very sensitive (then his eyes widened) what if she cried or got scared or...

Viola: relax Sanju, everything is going to be okay (then she waved to a car) HOLA, WE ARE HERE

Sanjay’s eyes widened: who are you waving for?!!

Viola: it’s a surprise

Sanjay looked at the car and a little girl came out of the back door, Sanjay didn’t recognize her at all, but seeing the person coming out of the driver door, he had an Idea who she might be...

Viola: JUDE, MIA

Sanjay’s eyes widened in disbelief as Jude held the hand of a 12 year old girl, with blond hair and brown eyes and ran toward them with wide smile, he looked so thin and he was wearing a Garage jumpsuit covered in smudges and Mia was wearing a matching one but clean

Viola smiled widely: surprise

Sanjay: THIS IS JUDE!!!what is Jude doing here?

Jude ran towards Sanjay with wide smile and hugged him, Sanjay was shocked and barely returned the hug

Jude: I missed you so much, 6 years I didn’t see you, your look so good

Then he broke the hug and held Mia’s shoulders and smiled widely

Jude: Sanju, meet my daughter Mia (then he looked at Mia) this is your uncle Sanjay

Mia smiled: uncle Sanjay, I am so happy to finally see you

Sanjay smiled widely: not more than me, I can’t believe I have such a beautiful niece

She smiled and he hugged her, as Jude was hugging Viola

Viola: missed you so much

(and she kissed Jude’s cheek then all broke the hugs)

Jude: give me the suitcases and let’s go, Ma prepared for us a feast for dinner

And he took the suitcases and the four of them rode the car and Jude drove with them

Jude: the road will take from one to two hours at least so help yourself with some Sandwiches, Mia made them herself

Mia smiled: it’s grilled cheese sandwiches

And she offered one to Sanjay and one to Viola, they both took bites of their sandwiches

Viola: you are so nice, how are you daughter of Jude and Helen, I don’t know!!

Jude: Mia, your aunt is kidding sweetie, I and your mother were always nice and kind (Then he frowned) Viola!!

Sanjay: Jude, I don’t understand, what are you doing here?

Jude smiled: you won’t believe it Sanjay, but I came here to bring Hira back for you but I couldn’t and I ended up living here since then (then he smiled widely) and it’s been the best 6 years of my life Sanjay, I found the happiest life, well almost the happiest  

Sanjay smiled: then I am almost happy for you, but I still don’t understand!!

Jude: you see after Hira left I asked uncle Joseph to find her address in Madrid and I traveled to here but I found out that the address he gave me wasn’t Hira’s, it was for uncle Diego, the second best mechanic in our Neighborhood (then he frowned ) he could have told me that my mother’s house is just the next one but he just kept cursing me, and turned out he isn’t in a good relation with my mother and Hira!! Because my mother is his business competition (then he said proudly) she is the best mechanic in the neighborhood

Viola: I didn’t tell you Sanjay but my mother’s husband worked as a mechanic here and she became a mechanic like him after he passed away and Hira works with her too

Sanjay smiled: Hira is a mechanic?!!

Jude: no; I, my mother and the twins are the mechanics of the workshop, but Hira just offer drinks for the customers if they are waiting for their car to be fixed

Sanjay in low tone: so you see Hira almost every day?

Mia looked at Sanjay and smiled faintly as Jude smiled and nodded

Jude: of course, she is living with my mother as I and Mia  (then he smiled wider) and you will be happy to know she forgave me

Sanjay smiled faintly: you are so lucky

Jude: you will envy me more when you know that Helen got married and left Mia’s full custody for me, we been living together for ...how long, Mia?

Mia: 2 and half years, Papa

Sanjay smiled: and how is Eve? You didn’t say anything about her !!

Jude: you are asking me how is Eve?!!! I should be asking you how is Eve, she was with you in London

Viola’s eyes widened and covered his lips, as Sanjay’s smile vanished

Sanjay: no she wasn’t, I didn’t see her in 6 years and my mother said she is with you here and talks to Viola

Sanjay looked at Viola and Viola shook her head nervously

Viola: Eve asked me to not tell anyone but she fought with Papa and she is staying with her friend

Jude: that is weird, since when she have any friends!!

Viola chuckled nervously: that is funny, Jude

(then she covered her lips and looked through the window and Sanjay looked at her with faint suspicious frown, and since then everyone was silent till Jude entered a tight street, then neighborhood with identical short small white houses, with flowers dangling from windows)

Viola: is my mother’s one of those houses?

Jude: No this is ours

And he signaled on the only two stories house

Jude: we divided the house so the upper floor is for the males and the lower is for females (then he signaled on the opposite sides of them) and this is our workshop and beside it is uncle Diego’s workshop

Sanjay: and I assume the old man in it, looking at us with a lot of hatred is uncle Diego

Jude: yes and the girl with the tray is his daughter (then he sighed) ...Miranda

Sanjay looked at the girl and she was a 30 year old girl at most, with wide green eyes and face filled with freckles, short height and overweight body, and her hair was orange in two long braids and she was wearing a jeans Jumpsuit and a deep frown on her face

(Jude parked the car in front of Eliana’s house and Diego and Miranda looked at each other, and Miranda walked to Jude, still holding the tray)

Miranda frowned: Hola Jude, I wanted to thank you for allowing Mia to teach me to read, that was really decent of you, which is strange !!

Jude frowned: It’s not a problem, Miranda; this is Sanjay and Viola, my little brother and my twin sister

Miranda smiled: Hola Sanjay and Viola, chocolate drinks?

Sanjay smiled: thank you

And he took cup and Viola took one, Miranda smiled to Mia and offered her a cup and Mia took it, then she looked at Jude with a frown

Miranda frowned: you can take too, I know this is your favorite drink, and I don’t mind

Jude frowned: no thank you

Diego frowned: MIRANDA COME HERE, DON’T OFFER THEM ANYTHING

Miranda: sorry Papa (then she looked at Jude) return the cups with Mia

And she returned to the workshop and looked at Jude with a frown that Matches Diego’s, as Viola and Mia walked to the house and Sanjay and Jude followed

Jude whispered: I forgot to tell you the miserable part of my life, my heart is deeply in love with Miranda

Sanjay smiled: the girl that didn’t stop frowning at you for a second?

Jude: yes, she and her family hate my guts, you can’t imagine how awful this is!!

Viola knocked and Eliana opened the door with wide smile, chuckled and hugged Viola, then her smile Vanished and turned to a frown looking at Sanjay, who was looking inside the house

Eliana: Sanjay! Hira is not here, she left for her exam then she will have some lectures, she probably will come after dinner, of course I didn’t tell her you are coming so I won’t upset her before the exam, I hope you will leave to your hotel before she comes home

Viola: no ma, Sanjay will stay with us, not in a hotel

Mario and Pedro ran to the door, and stood looking at Sanjay with frowns of hatred as each of them, clenched his hand in a fist, Sanjay smiled an awkward smile then looked at Jude who was looking at him awkwardly

Sanjay: I guess I can imagine

Jude smiled awkwardly and nodded then escorted Sanjay inside, guarding him from the twin fists
