Lucian quickly experienced an unpleasant shrinking feeling as he was transported through a vortex. He felt like he had been swallowed by a snake and was about to be squashed by the pressure. By the time he arrived in the other realm, he felt like he had actually been squashed and was ready to throw up the contents of his stomach. His dinner with Genevieve an hour earlier already felt very far away. He blinked and fell to the floor. His legs were too jellylike to hold him up.
