Chapter Seven I hated to admit it, but the city of Rhiodeja was a marvel. Not every building was amazing, but almost all of them featured some feat of engineering or even magical installments designed to dazzle or draw the eye. As we drew closer to the Temple Plaza, the buildings became taller with stranger and more daring structures. One of the buildings looked like it had a giant egg balanced on top of a tall spire. We followed the walkway between two massive pillars on to a circular plaza paved with large stones in a kaleidoscope of colors. Several more sets of pillars repeated at each entrance to the plaza. We stepped out on to a set of vibrant blue stones that transitioned to green to the left and purple to the right. Blue meant we were nearest the Temple of Medite, the old goddess
