Chapter 18: The ladies of fires and their people [1]

When they arrived at Xuehua Palace, a beautiful maidservant is waiting for them with a smile on her lips.

"Your Royal Highnesses... Lady Meili... Lianhua is here at your service. Isn't this the infamous Lord Lengjing? Lianhua has heard a lot about your wondrous achievements. It is an honour for this humble servant to meet you in person."

Lengjing, who is the Imperial Guard of the Kingdom of Leng smiles at her and nod his head in respect, "The honour is mine, Lady Lianhua. I have heard to that you are engaged to Lord Hong Mogui, the Demon General of the Demon Realm. You are famously known for your beauty and abilities as well.”

Lianhua smiles as she turns her body to lead the group to the Peach Blossoms Yard, Lord Lengjing is indeed a wise man with a wise mouth. Known to be quite a flatterer, but this man is more than that. She does know that he is closely related to the Kingdom of Xi despite serving under First Prince Leng Fenge of the Kingdom of Leng.

Princess Long Hua then asks, "Lianhua, I have heard that you are required to relocate to the Demon Realm? Is that true?"

"Your Royal Highness, it is indeed true. Though the marriage will only happen next year, Her Royal Highness instructed me to relocate there to get used to the environment and to become an ambassador of our Kingdom in the Demon Realm. His Majesty and Her Majesty will be taking a year-long vacation soon so the Sovereign Princess will be filling in together with Xiao Yu as her advisor."

"I cannot believe that older sister Yinyue will soon become a regent ruler of the Demon Realm. I hope that she will not create trouble while she is there though..."

Lady Meili laughs and says, "Your Royal Highness, with Xiao Yu as her advisor, the chance for her to create trouble will be close to none."

Lianhua too laughs and further adds, "I have to say that His Majesty knows that Xiao Yu will be the damaged controller while he is on his holiday."

Princess Long Hua then says, "My royal uncle and my imperial father are peas in a pod. Their cunningness knows no end."

Lady Meili and Lianhua nod their heads. The princes and princesses from the neighbouring kingdom just watch them three in silence. Lord Lengjing smiles as he is observing his surrounding. The whole area is filled with the soft fragrance of the peach blossoms. True to the rumours, Crown Princess Long Fenghuang do love peach blossoms so much.

When they arrive, a lone figure in red is standing with her back facing the newly arrived group. She is having a conversation with a man wearing a white cape. Third Princess Leng Moli is curious about how beautiful is this so-called Crown Princess Long Fenghuang. But she also noticed that the man in the white cape is not bad looking as well. From the way she dressed, she obviously dresses for the sake of comfort rather than luxury to show off her status. This made Third Princess Leng Moli confident that her look is more beautiful than this simple-dressed Crown Princess.

A beautiful young lady then turns her body to face at them with a smile on her lips, "Welcome to Peach Blossoms Yard. Do make yourself comfortable. This is just a casual event for the young ones while the elders are enjoying themselves."

"Bailu respectfully greets Your Royal Highnesses and Lady Meili. Good day, Imperial Guard Lengjing."

Those from the Kingdom of Leng suck their breath when they saw how beautiful she looks even with her simple outfit and accessories. Her fair and smooth skin is begging to be touched. Third Princess Leng Moli stares at her with hatred accumulating inside her heart. How could a cold and cruel princess look in such a way?!?!?! She just cannot believe it! That man wearing the white cape is so good looking and obviously in a close relationship with this princess! How could she be closed with another man when she is engaged to the handsome general! Third Princess Leng Moli looks at the maidservant and thought that Crown Princess Long Fenghuang fearlessly chose beautiful maidservants to serve by her side. First Prince Leng Fenge realizes something is not right and he then says, "Moli, behaves. This is not our kingdom and the people here are not as simple and easy to handle by any of us. A simple mistake can cause huge trouble for all of us including our kingdom. Do not slight Crown Princess Long Fenghuang in any way. Imperial General Bing including her group of people will protect her will their lives, but she is not someone who will just sit in silence as well. She is known to cut problem from its root before it even has the chance to branches out."

Second Princess Leng Yueliang then says, "Moli, knows when something is meant to be let go of. This is not a fight where you can get out alive. Crown Princess Long Fenghuang and Imperial General Bing Xiaji are soulmates to one another, there is only her in his eyes, heart and soul. No one else. Standing in front of the entrance of Peach Blossoms Yard is the man that made Third Princess Leng Moli being such a jealous and hateful creature. Crown Princess Long Fenghuang smiles sweetly at him as she walks towards him.

He gently pulls her towards his body before possessively putting his hand on her back as he stares and stroke on her cheek with his other hand. Everyone is watching them, most of them are smiling sincerely while two persons are watching without a smile on their face. Bailu is staring the pair before he coughs loudly to break them apart and he went beside the Crown Princess while giving a hateful glare towards the Imperial General. Imperial General Bing Xiaji too glares at him for disturbing their 'moment' before focusing his attention again at his beloved princess.

Third Princess Leng Moli, on the other hand, clenches her fists so hard until she bleeds due to her sharp nails as she mockingly smiles at the 'perfect pair' not realizing that her every action has been closely monitored by Congming and Lianhua. Imperial Guard Lengjing noticed this, but it is not for him to remind the princess of her wrongdoings. After all, his purpose is only to serve his master and no one else. Second Princess Leng Yueliang is smiling from ear to ear when she saw how jealous is her younger sister towards Crown Princess Long Fenghuang. This proud girl needs a ride wake up call after all. That poor 'lamb' did not even notice that she has been 'marked' by the 'predators'.
