Upon his return in the evening, Chief Magnus was informed by his wife about her discoveries of Chinyere being her cousin. He felt relieved that he had saved his inlaw.

"Welcome, Chief. Good evening," Chinyere greeted.

"Good evening. My wife mentioned that you are her cousin," Chief Magnus responded.

"Yes, Chief."

"That's great. Make yourself at home here. My wife and I have decided that you will assist her in her grocery shop. You will receive a monthly salary, and we will also send your daughter back to school."

"Chief, I am extremely grateful. May God bless you," Chinyere expressed her gratitude, laying flat on the floor.

"It's alright. Please stand up. You are making me feel embarrassed right now. After all, what are inlaws for? Remember the saying, "an inlaw is like a god who helps one in times of need".

Later on, in the room, Chinyere shared the good news with Amanda, "Mandy, you will be starting school again next week." Mandy is the pet name for Amanda.

"Really, Mom?" Amanda exclaimed.

"Yes, dear. But didn't you say we didn't have money to pay for my school fees?"

"Has God provided?"

"Yes," Chinyere reassured her daughter. She would always tell Amanda that God would provide whenever they were in need of money.

Amanda danced and jumped happily, "Finally, I will get to see my friends; Kamsi, Zara, and Christy again."

"Mandy?" her mom called. "Come sit beside me." Amanda happily and obediently made her way towards her mom and sat down.

"From now on, you will be going to a new school," Chinyere explained.

"Mummy, why?" Amanda questioned.

"Because we are no longer in Uboji, and the schools here have better standards compared to the ones in Uboji. You will still make new friends. All I want is for you to be dedicated and work hard. Take your studies seriously so you can make mommy and daddy proud. Remember, daddy is watching you from the sky."

"Mummy, if daddy is in the sky, why can't we see him?" Amanda asked curiously.

"Because he is now a spirit," Chinyere replied. "Do dogs become spirits too when they die?"

"Amanda, I am tired. Let me rest, please," Chinyere requested. "Remember, you promised Chief to take care of me, and now you are bombarding me with questions."

"Sorry, Mommy. How are you feeling now? Lie down, I want to watch over you like an angel." Amanda flapped her hands with determination. Chinyere couldn't help but smile. "That's my girl."

in the evening they all gathered at the dinning table, for dinner the had vegetable soup prepared with sea food and semovita. After dinner, Chinyere bathed her daughter, as she didn't trust Amanda to bathe herself thoroughly. Amanda changed into lighter clothing and knelt beside her mom as they prayed, expressing gratitude to God for opening a new chapter for them against all odds. They also prayed for God's blessings upon Chief Magnus' home and asked for His protection. Finally, they laid down and their breathing became even after five minutes.
