Upon awakening, she cast her gaze about, sensing a stirring deep within her being. She eventually gave up, got out of bed, and headed to the kitchen. Dominik and Dean were in the kitchen. They were about to leave. She collapsed mid-sentence. "What's wrong, Chaya?" they asked, curious. She looked at them and replied, "I need to rescue him." They exchanged puzzled glances. “Tell us who, Chaya." She stood up. “Bailey, his life is in danger and his wolf isn't present."
"Honey, can you locate him?" She nods and says, "Yes."
They were confused because they hadn't received any messages from Rico.
Dean asked Althea to keep an eye on the boys because they were heading out with Chaya. She hesitated to let her go, but Chaya managed to convince her that she would be careful. She guided them downtown. Dean had rounded up his mighty squad to accompany him on his epic quest. With a sense of urgency, she looks at them and states, "We need to hurry."
They stopped at the run-down warehouse.
“ Okay, we'll investigate. Stay here.” She insisted they hurry upon leaving the vehicle. They headed towards the warehouse.
"Can you sense anything or Bailey?" Dominik asked.
"No, I can't sense anything on Bailey," he responded with a head shake. “Rico hasn't contacted me yet.” The group looked where the warrior pointed. "A girl..."
She walked to the warehouse after getting out of the car. She couldn't resist the gravitational pull she was experiencing towards him. She walked in and noticed six guys relaxing and playing cards. When they saw her— terror danced in their gaze like mischievous fireflies. A mysterious force seemed to have possessed her, resulting in a sudden outburst of screams. She tore them apart like a methodical surgeon.
After she was done with them she heard his agonized cries. Which lured her towards the unholy depths of the basement. As she reached for the door, it flew off its hinges. She abruptly halted upon witnessing the unfolding scene. She rushed to him, saying urgently, "Leo, you need to change right away." Everyone there watched.
Dominik felt the bond fading and was panicking.
They saw him turn into his wolf form and she touched his chest as he groaned and breathed heavily. ‘Leo, I can be Bailey's energy source for healing.” he shook his big head "We hurt you. We don't deserve your help," she fearfully said. ‘Leo, we're all going to die.' Leo looked at her and replied, ‘You...’
In a strong voice, she commanded, "Just do it!"
When he bit her Dean had to hold him back cause he wanted to pull her away.
"Hey Dom, let's take a leap of faith here. She's got this," he countered Dominik's doubts. "What if she dies?" their attention shifted because of her.
"Take him to the hospital." he carried her cause she was unable to stand on her own.
They rushed him to Dean's pack.
“We're nearly there, Chaya.” he looked at her, "Why take such a dangerous gamble?" She gave him a smile in response. "Not sure, but if he dies, we die. The five of us, have a certain kind of connection," she stated.
Her eyes grow heavy as their voices fade.
